Helga was packing a bag of "goodies" to come visit you after that first attempt Rich, but you've done very well on your second try, so Helga will postpone her visit to you ........for now! Rofl

Did my $60 oil change with Valvoline VR1 10w30. Put some Lucas trans stop leak in the 727. Put a New tach on the column. Put 2 New bolts in the trans crossmember to replace the ones that weren't there( MIA ). Then took it down the road and laid some rubber.

VR1 is the good stuff Smile
Just finished replacing the original dual exhaust with 2 1/2" 14 gauge pipes and Thrush Welded mufflers. Sounds awesome and It certainly performs better too! Me likey.

Just out of curiosity, if you don't mind answering, what did you pay for a complete dual exhaust. They are getting 800 bucks in my area. I don't see how, but they get it.

Lucky for me, I still have lots of contacts in the biz. I bought 4 10' lengths of straight 2 1/2 " 14 gauge pipe, two Thrush Welded mufflers (the welded ones have deeper tone), and because I am still running factory manifolds; I needed two reducers with 3/8" thick flanges... total for parts: $290 Canadian. The custom bending and welding was just straight time and costed me $280 Can. So I got away with about $570 taxes in
... I was happy Banging Gears
The pipe was not stainless as it's a PIA to bend without cracking. It really needs to be mandrel bent when still warm.

Really, $800 is not that bad if it includes everything including good mufflers.
Just installed my remanufactured Holley 1920 on my slant6. Old one was pouring gas all over the manifolds when it would accelerate. Saved $100 by going the Rockauto route. Cool
