Best quote I heard about racing..
"The only way to have more fun and spend the same amount of money is to sit in your garage and burn $20 bills all weekend" (or something like that).
And the famous
"Speed is money, how fast do you want to go"?

I'll add one more Mike, racing is spelled "CUBIC DOLLARS".

On the positive side, you will meet the nicest group of people all with a passion for speed when Drag Racing and I miss that allot.
Agreed Andy. I drag raced from 1971 through 1997 and loved every minute of it.

I think he is one of the nicest, most down to earth, personable, guys I've ever met. All around great guy.
I never met Herb, but I did forget Jake King!!
I'd also add Bob Riggle (Hurst Hemi Under Glass cars) who my son and I met back in the 90's and talked with. A VERY nice gentleman indeed who REALLY appreciated all of his many fans!
I also met and talked to Darrell Alderman many years ago and he was also a very nice gentleman.
