Calling on you friends for help, my long time favorite car is giving me fits and I an looking for help in figuring it out. 1969 Coronet with direct connection electronic ignition conversion is experiencing a no spark situation on cranking and will not fire. what is the best way to diagnose orange box or the pick up in the distributor. I am lost and need to get this car to start. any advise would be greatly appreciated . I know you folks can help me fix this,. I checked with the local dodge dealer where I bought this kit from and was told the parts are no longer available.

Race Car new motor build has begun.........
Posted by: markz - 07-12-19, 10:36 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (14)

Rebuilding the motor in my race car. Gonna tweak the hp some. Banging Gears

Going from 528 to 572 ci. New heads, intake, cam, crank, rods, pistons, etc. The heads have been ordered. B1 MC heads with T&D individual rocker pair rockers. Working a deal now for some unused custom 2 1/8 to 2 1/4 step SS headers. The crank will be ordered soon. Wanted Callies but don't think they are available. If not probably a Molnar 4.5 inch stroke crank. Bore is also 4.5 inch. Its a 2001 megablock.

It will be a handful. The aerodynamic brick should go 8.90's and maybe even 8.80's with the new combo around 150 mph............ Smile

Every one getting ready for Carlisle?

Oil change, check brakes, tires, and grease. I think this is the least I've ever done for a Carlisle trip.

Appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

I have had a few cars, but I have always wanted a 1966 Dodge Coronet or a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. Might have to sell one of the daughters to a rich Arabian to get a 4 speed pistol grip Dodge Charger that is restored. So...I got the Coronet instead. Being delivered on Friday from California. Little antsy to say the least.11890

  Window Regulator
Posted by: idougal - 07-02-19, 04:03 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (6)

I have a Great Dale House Car that was built on a 1965 dodge coronet and some pre-66 dodge truck frame.

The window cranks are getting unusable.

Does anyone recognize this window regulator?

1188611887

It could be from any pre-66 vehicle (Probably 1965 Coronet, pre-66 Dodge truck, Caddie, or Olds). It looks the main body is OK. The steel looking cylinder gears are about stripped.

Any help would be appreciated!

1968 Coronet 440 HT rear inside lower trim - Having difficulty
Posted by: revel68 - 06-24-19, 07:55 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (1)

Hi. We are having difficulties understanding the rear inside lower window trim. I have an image helping to illustrate whats going on.

We bought new trim and had the glass professionally installed but now we have no clue how this trim fits on.

From what we can tell it has a section that presses over the metal edge. But there is a load of glass glue goop in there - we were thinking we could cut it out but to get enough depth a lot would have to be cut out and difficult.

Also the trim seems to float above pretty high.

A lot of this stuff is funky and we are having trouble figuring it out. Any help on this is appreciated! Thanks!

66 convertible well surround trim clips.....
Posted by: bike_guy123 - 06-19-19, 11:47 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

Sorry for posting this twice (posted in parts wanted), but it looks like there is more traffic here than in any other parts of site...

For anyone reading this, I am in need of the trim clips that go around the outside of the convertible top well, that hold the trim down with the snaps for the convertible top boot cover...... make any sense?? I need a few of them, probably 5 would do. Not sure if they are year specific, but my car is a 66.

Any help or leads would be wonderful.........the snaps for the convertible top boot screw into these clips, under the trim.

Thanks in advance.
