Not sure where I got this from, it's from 2007 and it's got a buttload of parts sources. Some may no longer exist so it's going to be a crap shoot if the company has the parts you need or the restoration services you want.

Hi Guys! Hope you all are well during these crazy times.

I have a '67 Coronet 500 that has been in our family since it was new. My Great Grandfather bought the car at Werner Dodge in Belford NJ in November 1966 when he was in his 80's. He drove it for a couple years, then sold it to my Father in 1969. Dad used it as his regular driver throughout the 70's and then handed it over to me for my 17th birthday in 1986. I took it to Florida during my college years and returned it to NJ in 1990 where it sat at my parent's house for several years. We would drive it on and off, going to car shows and continuing to enjoy it on weekends. In 2009, Dad and I decided it was time for an overhaul. The 318 had 185K on it and was really tired. We pulled the motor with the intention of having it rebuilt (more on that later) and had a friend and super body / paint guy restore the exterior. We had redone the interior several years before and it remains pristine today. As the body and paint were being done, we had another friend working to refresh the 318. At the same time, another Mopar friend was restoring a 1970 Road Runner and had a freshly rebuilt 1970 383 with 727 all ready to be installed when he decided to make a new 5.7 Hemi car out of it. So instead of reworking our 318, we bought the 383 with big dreams of our new big block car. Unfortunately Dad got sick in 2009 and after the body / paint was done, the car and the engine were relegated to my garage. I continued to do some additional work like removing the old fuel and brake system and cleaning up the underbody to prep for new mechanicals. And then life takes over as they say. House, family, job, volunteering as a firefighter, etc. all took priority. And so sits the coronet and separate motor covered in the comfort of my garage. I tried to find places to take on the task of putting it back together over the years with the hopes that Dad and I would get to ride around in it again, but to no avail. In April 2017, we lost Dad to cancer and I'm sad that he never was able to get that "one last ride".

So I've finally made the decision to start working on it again on my own, along with my 14 year old son. There are a lot of things I think we can do, but know for sure there are things of which we have no idea where to start. That's where you guys come in! I am hoping through this forum that I can bounce my questions off everyone and get some well needed guidance as we go down this road together.

I'll add some pictures later on, but shared one from 2001 that I hope you enjoy.

Been a member since 2014 but mainly as a lurker. I'm active on FBBO and FABO. Bought a 69 Coronet 500 off of Ebay in September 2013. After delivery I checked everything out - fluids, brakes, ignition. But not the lug nuts. After only three weeks of ownership I was taking a test drive after swapping in a Pertronix distributor and the left front lug nuts backed off, wheel went up into the fender before the car came to a skidding halt. Fortunately I had slowed down to about 20 mph when the wheel let loose. Long story short, spent the next 2 1/2 years restoring the car in my garage to wind up with the car you see today.
Originally came with a 383 2V, a PO swapped in a 70's 440. The engine has been rebuilt with its original steel crank, Hughes Engines hyd FT cam and valve train, ported Stealth heads, Eddy dp intake, FiTech efi with Tanks Inc. in-tank pump, Dougs headers. Added a Classic Air unit. Glen-Ray rad with clutch fan. Rebuilt trans has a 3000 stall Dynamics converter and TransGo shift kit back to a 3.55 SG 8 3/4. Front disc brake conversion, rebuilt front suspension with Firm Feel Stage III p/s box. Sub-frame connectors, super stock rear springs with pinion snubber, Bilsteins on all four corners.
Interior was changed from saddle tan to black. Restored the dash, MAD electric ammeter by-pass with voltmeter, RetroSound radio. Fat Mat on the floors, roof, and inner door skins. Stock seats were bolstered in front and finished with black vinyl with grey suede inserts; kept the Coronet medallion trim.
Body was painted in FCA Toxic Orange (OEM color on 2013 Challengers). Wheels/tires are 15 x 8 Magnums with 245/60/15 BFGs in front and 15 x 10 Magnums with 295/50/15 BFGs out back.

Car has been back on the road since Spring 2016 but since then I've been sorting through all kinds of issues: FiTech (don't get me started), hot start, braking. It's only been the last 6 months or so that the car can be described as reliable. It gets driven about 2,000 miles a year, sharing time with my '68 Dart and '16 Challenger. It's fast, loud and a blast to drive.

After being away for awhile due to health issues I'm back to managing the dad to day operations of the site.

I want to improve the site and try and make it easier to use. Somethings are going to be tough (Like fixing Andy's pic problem) to easy (fixing the non-working buttons. Hopefully we can make this a fun place again.

Let me know in the Websites section of anything busted or any changes you'd like.

Changes won't happen overnight as it's been 18 months since I been behind the scenes here so have patience if I don't look at something right away.

Who sells one? Need to lift the rear of my '67. Any other suggestions are welcome. Pulled out the air shocks based on the ride quality. This is a cruiser not a racer. Thanks.

With all of the difficult things that we are all having to deal with these days, I needed something to cheer me up. This song by Meat Loaf always puts a on my face so maybe it will do the same for some of you as well.

I have just joined DodgeCoronet.com I have a 1970 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible 383 4 BBL Automatic (One of 67 produced) that I ordered new in 1970 and still own. I have kept it 100% original and just went through a reconditioning about 3 years ago.
Just beginning to learn about this web site and forum.

Installed new carpet, painted door panels and arm rest pads, and painted kick panels. BTW chrome paint is usless, I'll be buying new arm rest bases at Carlisle. I also installed a Painless auxiliary fuse box and cleaned up the snake pit under the dash. The center A/C vent wasn't functional and was in pretty bad shape. A friend at work 3D printed ones for me with the back blocked off so it looks much nicer.

1967 340 block Isky 264 mega-cam, Edelbrock rpm air gap intake, "J" Heads comp valve springs, lifters, push rods, double roller timing chain.


Sniper EFI system installed recently and works well.

dual exhaust t/a style w/ long tube headers- side exit exhaust

trans- a-833 4 speed (conversion, used to be a/t)
