Some assembly required.....New '65 Gasser project.
Posted by: Zeek - 11-28-21, 11:35 PM - Forum: The Muscle Car Years 1965-1970 - No Replies

My new project was delivered to me today. Leaning toward building this one as a Gasser. Car is very complete, but completely apart....Wink only thing missing is eng/trans and a windshield. For some reason this site will NOT let me download pics from my computer. Here is a link to my FB albums if youre interested.

Ok...I give up on this place....It just wont let me post pics no matter how I try.... Sad

New guy with a gasser project
Posted by: Zeek - 11-25-21, 11:33 AM - Forum: New Members - Replies (8)

Hi folks. Just joined this forum yesterday. The same day I managed to cut a deal to purchase this '65 Coronet. Found it a few years ago and finally got to make a deal with the owner. Solid, straight and rust free body with clear title. All the parts for it are in the car and trunk. Missing eng/trans and windshield but not a big deal. Ive always wanted to build a Gasser and this is the perfect candidate for one. He is delivering it to me next weekend after I make room for it in the garage. Here's some pics of the car and what I hope it will turn out like. Last pic is the '65 I sold last year....it was just too nice to turn into a Gasser.

  Is This Really Happening?
Posted by: thebankerstoy - 10-30-21, 02:43 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (14)

It looks as if The Direct Connection Parts Program is coming back. Is this just a rumor or is it actually happening?

Add to that it looks as if Tony Stewart is bringing a brand new race team to the NHRA in 2022. Very interesting indeed!

  1967 Coronet needs hood alignment
Posted by: 440net - 10-10-21, 02:00 PM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (1)

I can’t explain what happened, but I can no longer get my hood to latch. It seems like something is just out of alignment. I bought a NOS latch, thinking my original just wasn’t working right, but it is not that. After messing with it for God knows how many hours, I finally give up. Can you guys recommend a good body shop near Williamstown, NJ to get my hood aligned and latching again? Thanks….. Andy

  Headliner & dash
Posted by: Kingspagetti - 09-30-21, 03:48 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (7)

I’m attempting to replace the headliner and wiring harness in my 70 coronet 500 (in addition to the carpet). Everything is disassembled and I’m ready to pull the dash, but the dash screws seem to be behind the windshield rubber and I can’t get the old headliner scraps out at the top of the windshield.
So here’s my question…
Can the dash be pulled and can the headliner be replaced without pulling out the windshield?

Only good thing is 0-60 times are 3.7seconds.. pretty damned quick..
