  Pitman Arm Reinstall
Posted by: Arts67 - 09-21-20, 09:07 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (3)

Good Morning - '67 Coronet 500, motor is out of the car. Reinstalled the steering gear (box) yesterday and am having trouble getting the pitman arm to slide over the wormgear shaft. Everything seems to line up nicely, including ensuring that the flat keyway slots are matched. The arm is still connected to the cross link. Car was jacked up and I thought maybe that was causing an alignment issue, so I made sure the wheels were straight and put it back on the ground. Still no luck. Unless there is some trick I'm missing, I'm thinking that the guy who pulled this apart 10 years ago damaged the arm in removal without the right tool (okay it was me). Thanks.

  70 carpet color

Is there any documentation on the color of the original carpet from 1970? I’m trying to replace the carpet in my 70 coronet 500. (FF4 D6F8 EF8) Green, green, green! But what shade? I have to decide between dark green and dark olive. There’s a tag on the old carpet (Westpoint Pepperell 3550 F F9 green).

  1966 Coronet Hood Trim
Posted by: thebankerstoy - 09-08-20, 07:49 PM - Forum: WIW eBay Craiglist Kijiji - Replies (2)

I found this Ebay auction posted below by a seller I've done business with over the years called Vans Auto LLC and it looks as if they have the front leading edge of the hood trim for all 1966 Coronets (only 1966 models, will not fit on 1967 models) back in stock, so if you own any body style of a 1966 Coronet this trim piece will work for you.

  1967 440 Clutch Fork Pivot
Posted by: lemondana - 08-20-20, 03:57 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (4)

Hi everyone, been quite awhile since I posted on here. I was hoping someone on here could help me. I have a 67 Coronet, originally a 383 4 speed car. I've owned it for 43 years and thought it was time to get it back on the road. It had a 440 when I purchased it, I installed a 383 some years later, all of this was years ago. Anyway , I installed a 440 that I had laying around, had the 4 speed went thru. It has the 2843234 11 inch bellhousing that was used only in 67 B and C Body 440 cars. m I got all of the clutch linkage installed, everything looked good till I tried to put the clutch adjustment rod in. It sits at about a 45 degree ancle. I called Brewers, ane and he told me that the C and B Body used a different fork pivot. I looked up the part numbers in my 67 Parts book and it shows the same part number for both. Anyone have any pictures of the 67 440 pivot? I tried to delete some incorrect letters that I've typed but can't on here, whats up?

  Woodward 2020
Posted by: Joe mama - 08-16-20, 10:18 AM - Forum: Show Annoucements/Clubs - Replies (2)

The official Woodward Dream Cruise was suppose to be yesterday but was canceled. You would have never know it. There was as many cars as usual cruising. The biggest difference is all of the corporate parties were canceled, Most of the cars cruising except the millions of new mustangs, challengers and camaros were family cars. Mainly because most of the parking areas were closed down and limited places to park. Another thing I noticed is not many out of state plates. It was still fun to cruise on Woodward. All of the restaurants were open and packed. The sidewalks were not packed as usual. Not many people were walking. There is usually about 1.5 million people that show up from around the world. I would guess there was about a 1/2 million this year. One of our political parties took advantage of the Dream Cruise date and decided to have a cruise on Woodward the same day since the Dream Cruise was officially canceled. They called it the MAGA cruise.
Hopefully next year we will be able to enjoy our cars more than this year and this virus will be gone!

Hello everyone,

I’m looking to purchase a 69 coronet r/t from another province, I’m in BC. The car currently has collectors plates, from what I can see, it’s in very decent shape.

Question, the fender tag states it’s a console car with bucket seats, however, when I look at the pics, it has bench seats and column shifter. Can anyone tell me why someone might would want to do this?

The other question is, is it worth 45K Cdn? That would be 33K US.

it is not numbers matching, but it has a 69 strong running motor with a 6 pack. I’d really like the car but want to pay a fair price.

I’ll try and load some pics here.

Thanks,
Bob

  Carlisle Spaces for Rent
Posted by: dartforforty - 06-24-20, 08:50 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I can not go to Chrysler's @ Carlisle this year.
I have 5 spaces for rent in Row P. P-216 to P-220, this area has the most shade for the better part of the day, far back corner by gate 7.
I am renting them for $90.00 each the going price. This is a one time rental only for the buyer.
These are almost two spaces deep
Any one interested start a conversation with me on this board.

Thanks
Ed
