Gotta change out my oil pump gasket,damn it!!! Ok so I have a vert, am I gonna have to lift motor up or will pump just come out without taking motor mounts out and lifting motor up??? I will put a new pump back in, duh, my buddy said run a melling,he has a 440 race car. Any suggestions on this lovely endeavor ?? I have a car lift so that will help, looks like 4- 9/16 bolts and there is a 3/8 bolt in the middle top of pump, will that 3/8 have to come out also or is part of pump?? Man there is no wiggle room for nothing,I can get to all 4 bolts and the 3/8,but man it is tight. I have the car for 7 yrs and this is the first hiccup I have had, so I really can't be bitchin.The previous owner said the motor was built in Chicago and it has a Norm's sport club sticker on windshield,but no documentation if it was built at Norms. of a restoration. Looked for a long time for a solid starting point. Only issue was that it was an automatic car and I wanted a 4-speed. Got the conversion all done except am seeing some variations on where the dash mounted reverse lamp is located. The car is also a N96 Ramcharger. I have seen pics with the carb air cable directly under the reverse light and also pics of the light mounted farther to the left. So what I am looking for is the measurement of the center of the reverse light from the left side of the ashtray opening on an original 4-speed 69 Super Bee or R/T. Thanks in advance.
