Brake line question-passenger side line hump or no hump?
Posted by: 67RTBlue - 01-07-16, 10:35 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (2)

What is the deal with the two designs? This is the hard line that mounts to the firewall. I've seen both versions. Is it an option specific thing or supplier variation?

  Distributor question
Posted by: 67RTBlue - 01-06-16, 10:49 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (9)

The distributor that was in our motor is a dual point. Did an automatic R/T come this way? A quick Google search says this could be a '69?
Here is the tag.

  68-69 switch panels
Posted by: mike1968rt - 01-04-16, 04:10 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

On Dodges with the standard dash, there is a separate switch panel below the main gauges. Some of these have a smooth finish, while others have a rougher finish. Which were used on what cars? Was it a Dodge / Plymouth difference? The rough finish panels seem to be rarer.

Hi, just got my 67 R/T back from the body shop, after more years than I can believe. Finally, so it's painted but they lost more stuff than I can believe. Oh, I am in NC and the car is equipped with an auto, disc brakes, black vinyl roof, black interior, center console and light blue exterior. So I will be posting in the other threads for all the lost parts.

  Hello from Germany!

My name is Christian, i´m from germany and the proud owner of a ´69 Coronet 440.
I got this car in 2005 and done a lot of work since then. Not all was really necessary but as you´ll know - once started...it never ends! :p

As for the engine I decided to go a different way and built a nice Poly-Stroker which goes in the bay this spring. The original engine was a 318 LA but the car came to me with a 360 4bbl installed.

I also have some other rides. BMW E28, Panther M100, Kawasaki GPz 750 - see pics!

Best wishes,
Chrys

Big Block original style thermostat housing?
Posted by: rlsbee - 01-02-16, 05:12 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (17)

Does anyone make an original style thermostat housing(for a big block)? The parts houses have one made by Dorman but it's not correct.
I thought I had a leak at the gasket but after many attempts (with different sealers and gaskets and making sure that everything was clean and straight), I could not stop it from weeping a drop after sitting for a day. I blasted the housing clean of all paint and residue. With a couple of steel plates and rubber gaskets I pressurized the housing and put it in water. After a half hour or so, I did get a tiny bubble. The housing is pitted some. I looked at a few other used ones that were pitted similarly. I'm gonna try coating the area with epoxy but I'd sure like to get a new one. I know there are billet aluminum housings but the bases are really thick. I know the chrome ones have a reputation for leaking. I've checked many sources but I can't find an original style housing.
