  Tail Light Bulb Holder
Posted by: NZ 68 R/T - 12-30-15, 07:38 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (19)

Merry Xmas and a Happy NY to all.

Can anyone post a pic of the correct bulb holder for a 68 Coronet R/T.7639]

I have 2 different styles, and this longer one makes the light on one side glow brighter as it's closer to the lense. The one on the other side is much shorter. Which one is correct?

Thanks

  Where do these bolts go?
Posted by: 67RTBlue - 12-30-15, 01:52 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (7)

Found these in a box with a bunch of the engine bolts and I can't figure out where they came from. They have very fine threads and a couple have traces of turquoise engine color paint. There are 4 and they are 9/16"

New here, have always loved and owned 68-69 coronets (never had the opportunity to buy a 70 yet) I work at the biggest supplier of mopart parts in Canada, but sadly dont have a coronet yet. That's why im here!
I hope at some point to buy a project 69-70 ragtop. Obviously parts arnt an issue where I work, just the car lol

  1966 Hemi Coronet Survivor
Posted by: mozz at rpm - 12-26-15, 08:04 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (17)

The car featured here is a 1966 Dodge Coronet Deluxe 2 Door Sedan equipped with the legendary 426 Hemi engine. It is one of only 49 built. Sold new by King Dodge in Minneapolis it has covered less than 9000 miles since. It is in a totally original and unrestored condition still wearing its factory black paint. The car is optioned with a 4 speed transmission and a Dana rear end making it a real sleeper. It is well documented with the factory broadcast sheet and the original certi card.

  Non rally dash tach
Posted by: mike1968rt - 12-22-15, 11:30 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

The spot in a non rally 1968 - 1970 dash was used for a clock or tach. On dashes with neither, there is a hole in the lens for the clock stem. If a tach was included, is this hole, which is not needed for the tach, still be in the lens? I am guessing that the hole is in all the lenses, because if a lens was made without the hole, it would have been used on cars without a clock, as well as cars equipped with a tach.

How can I use a stock dual snorkle on an Edelbrock 750 carb?
Posted by: 67RTBlue - 12-19-15, 09:09 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (16)

Is this possible and if so does someone make a custom drop base? Just received my 750 with electric choke and didn't know the opening is a 5" vs the stock 4". I want to keep the stock appearance. Height to the base of the carb with the CH4B intake is exactly the same strangely enough. The intake is taller but the carb is shorter. Don't know if an adapter would do it (worry about height) or just a larger opening base plate.
Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?

  Wireless backup camera
Posted by: Hibbing_Coronet_500 - 12-18-15, 04:49 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - No Replies

I bought a wireless backup camera for myself for xmass. I was gonna put it on my truck. But I had a thought of putting it on my 67 Coronet.

Why?
I have been to shows where things get tight. And without a trusty spotter...I think the camera will be a asset when I'm alone or in tight spots.

Has anyone else put one of these on their Mopar?

  Fuel filler leaking
Posted by: cnmsales - 12-17-15, 09:43 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (5)

Hey guys, I'm pretty sure my fuel filler hose has a hole in it. When I first got the car it was fine now when I put gas in the car about a quarter of it leaks out. Now the guy I bought it from didn't use fuel rated line so I'm pretty sure that's part of the problem. Will it make a difference where the tank came out of? I'm not 100% sure but there is a possibility the tank did not come off a coronet. Can someone provide links to the right product? I really appreciate the help.

  Help with over heating
Posted by: cnmsales - 12-15-15, 08:01 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (13)

Hey guys, my coronet has been parked for a few months and I hadn't had any issues with over heating up till that point. Threw a rod through the block on my main ride and was going to use my coronet to get to work this week. This morning on the way to work the engine over heated. Got almost all the way maxed out. I didnt have much choice so limped on down the road at 50mph. This evening I refilled the radiator and about 10 minutes into my trip the gauge went to about 80% From there over the next 5 minutes it got up to 95% and then began to spew. Again I limped on down the road and made it home. Checked the fan and it is running. Upon filling the rad there is no leak spots under the car.

I am trying to determine how likely is it the issue is with the thermostat? The entire engine is covered in fluid and I assume it came out of the safety overflow. Is there a way for me to determine if the issue is a leaky radiator or the thermostat?

If it is the thermostat, how do I change it?

Im driving a 4 door 1967 Coronet 440. The engine is a 318 poly block from a 1965 Dodge box van. I could really use some help and guidance with this.
