  Valve body question
Posted by: tgranthamfd - 02-20-16, 03:30 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (2)

Was trying to figure out if the 904 and the 727 valve body's are the same? Most parts have them listed together??

  Goals For 2016
Posted by: roadworthy - 02-20-16, 01:52 AM - Forum: The Early Years - Replies (12)

So the '49 needs a brake upgrade, some wiring issues tightened up/finished, and the seat belts need to get installed. Also, since I ran out of gas tonight, I need to get a new fuel gauge sending unit. Wink

Oh, I guess I need to be a little more active here too. Sorry about that, guys.

I am eyeballing some sheet metal parts too!

  Band Lever ratio
Posted by: tgranthamfd - 02-18-16, 04:19 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (2)

Just wondering if anyone had a simple explanation of what is going on with the 4 different Band Lever ratio's for a 727 tranny. which ratio is better? I am doing a recalibration kit in mine and, more than likely, going from a 2.? ratio to a 5.0 ratio lever. Why is the 4.2 lever so much higher than the 5.0 lever? I got the Fairbanks Transaction Kit, and I am going full competition on this transmission!

New (are there any aftermarket?), NOS or used - All info appreciated

(Have seen the rubber inserts on Ebay, but not the chrome parts)

Power brakes-vacuum hose to carb or intake?
Posted by: 67RTBlue - 02-15-16, 05:48 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (5)

Where would a stock hose hook to? There is a port on our intake with a plug in it. Is this where a nipple would be or would it be on the carburetor?

Fuel Pumps-Painted with engine or not?
Posted by: 67RTBlue - 02-15-16, 11:22 AM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (19)

It looks like ours has residue of turquoise paint. An ad for a '67 shows the 440 and fuel pump looks natural unpainted. I know ads are just that but wondering? Experiences?
ALSO water pump heater hose nipples? Painted or not?
