Well, I just love my friends who love racing. Not only are we trying to get my buddies 68 down the track, 2 of my neighbors just bought a top alcohol funny car, they are working on getting their license now,5000hp,Monte Carlo,Brad Anderson Engineering 528ci all aluminum hemi. They are sponsoring themselves, my jaw dropped when they told me this today. They plan on doing 7 or 8 races this year, for sure Houston and Ennis. I already have a starting line pass, should I go???????????? Bought the car out of New York, everything the guy had, trailer and all. They built a alcohol 16ft boat last year and ran up and down the river here (my back yard,we all live on the river). Around 140-160 is what it would go,to hell with that, thats unsafe!!!! I love my friendsBeer

Hello, i`ve been registered since 2013 but i forgot about this page (shame on me). My name is Armin, i`m 37 and i`m from northern germany. After i got infected with a 74 charger i bought a 1968 coronet r/t. It has the original 440, has a 4spd + Dana 60 rear. Im curious what u guys think about how to learn more about a cars history. Where should i start?
Greetings Armin

Aluminum intakes-washers on bolts and torque specs?
Posted by: 67RTBlue - 03-02-16, 02:18 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (3)

After I installed the intake I read about 6 pack aluminum intakes having washers on the bolts. Is this something I should add to the bolts as I am using the Edelbrock CH4B? Will a washer disperse the torque better and not crush the hole? And as far as torque specs go should I use factory specs or reduced due to aluminum? According to the book 50ft lbs is what the factory iron one was torqued to.

What are the largest 14 or 15" wheel/tire combo I can get under the rear of my '67?
Posted by: TekHousE - 02-29-16, 10:28 AM - Forum: The Muscle Car Years 1965-1970 - Replies (8)

I really do not want to modify anything in the rear to get larger rubber on my car. but I think I need wider than the 225's I have now.

What is the largest I can go without it rubbing?
