I recently scored a 1967 Dart GT to make my daily driver out of, I drive Max allot but when weather gets rough he runs with his tail between its tires. I would like to fix up so it a dependable car and keep it fairly stock hoping someday my Son or Grandson will restore it. I have a 94 Chrysler LHS the newist car we own that I use pretty much only use to go visit my Mom near San Diego so I will sell that while it is in great shape and worthless and this Dart is the replacement.
Dart GT 273 4-barrel California black plate car from Bakersfield (both frames still on car)
automatic w/console
Originally bronze (purty color)
White interior and white top

It has been sitting under a cover outside for many years in the dirt so it is filthy dirty, luckily mice only got to the engine compartment and only chewed up the spark plug wires.

Can't find any rust anywhere and only a couple dents in body, it looks like they removed most trim getting it ready for paint and quit. After being bronze it was painted blue then thick primered so I have many coat's to sand through.

I was happy to find all the trim wrapped up and build sheet, fender tag and certicard present. GOT LUCKY there for sure.

Now lets see if it will run as all of this is unknown to me, either way it'll be fun.
Nice score Andy, I'm jealous.
I opened the gas cap and knew I was in trouble. WOWEEE!! that stinks!!

here is what happens when you don't use stabilizer and leave your car sitting. 5338&d=1417711220[/IMG]

New tank and all the attachments ordered. I picked Classic Industries since there in California and they sell the Ni-Terne steel like original tank, we will see how it fits.
Nice project !

Yes they are all there, one has the black inner paint peeling off so I hope they come apart to fix that

Thanks all these old mopars really are cool no matter what letters or numbers the VIN are.
I sold my LHS yesterday so I have money to fix the brakes that were shot putting is nicely.
what are your plans if the motor does not run? as you probably know a 273 can be pricey to rebuild. I would recommend a roller 318 (LA if you want to keep it stock looking) and put the 273 stuff on it. it should still get good mileage, maybe add a a500 or 518 trans too. that would make an awesome daily driver!
