I took the old manifold off today and started cleaning up all the gasket materials.
I had to unbolt the master cylinder to give room to get it out. Big sucker for a small block 340.
Manifold install went great. I decided to try the no gasket route since all surfaces look nice and straight.  I used a cosmetic pipe gasket at TTI pipe.
No leaks sounds great. Test drove a couple hours now just retourque it.
Thanks Mike for helping me find this piece of the puzzle.  [attachment=9072][attachment=9073][attachment=9074]

Supposed to be nice weather so get em out.[attachment=9076]
That made lugging it back to parking lot well worth it..

I hope the paint didn't smell too bad burning off, he had just finished spraying them when I walked up.

I was planning a smoke show when I drove it around but it didn't smell too bad. it is discolored some now which is expected and is good because it will match other side someday  Big Grin

Sure sounds good now.
