thanks Rich it is fun
6190]6191]6192]Right door and cowl stripped and front top trim holes
welded today
6195]6196] I found this old box behind rear seat, maybe some parts that went into this 340 ?

Took trim off rear window inside and out and scooped out all the old vinyl top pieces and tons of dirt as you can see. Figured I would find some rust back there after cleaned up but no just fine.

There were some broken trim tabs on bottom edge so not sure if I will have to remove glass to replace those, looks like it though. Drat's !

All the vinyl top trim holes are filled not, except where emblem goes on pillar, haven't decided if I'm going put those back on or not yet. Might look odd with painted top.

I'd go vinyl or top painted same as rest of body!
Andy, don't you think you might lose some value on that car if you do not keep it original? It's not just a slant 6 Dart 270 , its a 273 4-bbl GT!
If I was building this one to sell then yes, but I am not. I was saving this one for my son Chris to buy but he really is too busy at work and home with another off road truck project and I didn't want it to sit where it was outside any longer and also I needed a car to drive to work after selling my newist wheels a `94 LHS.

My master plan is to build it the way he told he would like it and him not even realizing I am doing it to give to him later on down the road. Maybe someday his kids can completely restore it to original or just leave and have fun.

That is happiness to me

I put JRs 8 3/4 in Saturday and mocked it up with my old Max tires G60 14 and they fit nicely. I used super stock springs and flipped the front mounting plate to lower it a bit.
I am happy such a wide tire fit right in there. For now I will put the ones I had on there since I bought those ago.

Now to send driveline out to get shortened on Monday so I can drive it.
I'm liking it!
That's a lot of tire for a little car.
Nice!
