Never ran my 'Net down it, but did do a high 14 in my Ram P/U.

This now leaves Island for the north and Atco in the south for the inbred hillbillies to run their cars

  Quarter window rebuild
Posted by: bike_guy123 - 01-24-18, 04:45 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (18)

After 17 years, I am finally on the put it back together track.....I ordered a new quarter window roller kit and am finding that without directions I am a little lost. It looks like the kit must contain parts I wont use, parts I will use and not enough parts to fully restore them entirely.

Looking at the front track, there are two roller mechanisms that have 2 small rollers and one large one. The large one going in the window framing and two smaller ones for the track mounted inside the quarter.

My question is this......the kit doesn't contain parts for these. I have fixed the small rollers so they turn nice, but the large roller is held onto the contraption by a rivet. These are all seized and two of them are actually broken.....anyone have any experience with these. I have searched forums and youtube to the end..

55-56 horn button center piece restoration
Posted by: dodge55 - 01-17-18, 08:28 PM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (4)

Anyone had a horn button center piece rechromed? If so, did you take the gold medallion off? It looks like you have to drill out a rivet on the back side. I have never seen a replacement medallion for the horn button, so I wanted to know how someone else did this?

Thanks.
