  Recommend engine swap shop
Posted by: fitzyb5 - 10-12-17, 09:42 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

I live in southern NH. Can anyone recommend a shop that specializes in engine swaps.
Thinking of swapping out 440 for a hemi in my convertible 67 Coronet. Any feedback appreciated.

'49 Dodge Emergency Brake (Parking Brake) Handle
Posted by: 50Coronet - 10-09-17, 12:08 PM - Forum: The Early Years - Replies (1)

Hi Folks:
It has been a L O N G time since I've been here but I guess life has a habit of taking us down different roads. I did think of you fine folks when my buddy who has a '49 Coronet had his E-Brake handle come apart in his hand and he's in search of a diagram to put this back together. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm still hoping to get my '50 out of the woods and into my restoration line up one of these days. Here's a photo of her resting comfortably.

  Trouble typing...
Posted by: ws27 - 10-08-17, 01:14 AM - Forum: Website How To's Help and Suggestions (not car related) - Replies (10)

I'm not the greatest typist, but it seems that like a third of my letters don't show up. I end up with all sorts of missed letters. If I type slowly (really slowly) it will keep up. Any idea if this is something on my end or the site? I don't have any trouble with other places.

Thanks for getting things going again Kevin!

  1967 Horn Relay Connector Housing
Posted by: TX67RT - 10-06-17, 02:40 PM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (1)

I posted this up in the "wanted" section, but thought I may as well post it here too. Doing some clean-up in the engine compartment of my '67 R/T, and noticed that my horn relay connector must have gotten warm at some point; it's melted a little bit. I'd like to replace it while I'm doing the work, and haven't found anyone out there selling new ones. Can buy the entire harness, but not just the horn relay housing. Does anyone know a source for these that I might not be aware of? In lieu of that, does anyone have a parts harness they'd be willing to part with, or sell me the (good) horn relay connector housing? My wiring and terminals are good; just the plastic housing is bad.

Thanks!

JD

Posted by: j57little - 10-06-17, 11:13 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (11)

I'm looking for a 66 Coronet 500 emblem. The "500" actually overlays the standard Coronet emblem I just need the"500." Any leads are appreciated.

  tie rods
Posted by: 50net - 10-03-17, 10:53 PM - Forum: The Early Years - Replies (10)

is there a compassionate soul out there that has replaced their early dodge tie rods ? I called advance auto, was told moog es158L and R was not available.so I called napa they crossed ref to es60L and R. had to order 2ea for my 50 coronet, from main warehouse calif. fast forward a week they came in white boxes not labeled for application so I called them I was told I can use only three of them I have to order a "special" one, part rp26402 for 115.00! so I then called moog corp. was informed they stopped making part in 1984 but # was es131,so what about all the suppliers that list the es158 for replacement? then different sites have same # at diff locations ex: es60r for left outer seems not everyone can agree........so now I have these parts not sure are correct and where go.before I break everything apart I need some confirmation from someone that already changed theirs if you can specify right inner/outer left inner/outer I would appreciated it thanks

  New bullet for the "Brick"
Posted by: theman440 - 09-26-17, 11:32 PM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (285)

This is my first build thread so hopefully I won't bore everybody. A little back story - last September at the Street Car Super Nationals the call for 3rd round was announced. I hopped in the car to start it up and there was a terrible noise in the engine. I scrambled trying to figure out the problem then I noticed there was no oil pressure. It sat for a year but my son & I finally got the engine out to find out what happened.
