  56 Gas Pedal Floor Mount
Posted by: Cormac417 - 06-04-17, 09:22 PM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (1)

The gas pedal floor mount on my 1956 Coronet is rusted/falling apart and appears to be coming up when the pedal is pressed. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before it completely fails to hold the base of the pedal to the floor. Has anyone else had to deal with this? Should I seek an original equipment fix to this or remove the whole mechanism in favor of an aftermarket generic replacement?

  Best wiring replacement
Posted by: Dionisio -C- - 05-29-17, 12:49 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (28)

Good afternoon all, hope all of you are well. I haven't posted in a looooong time on the thread, I was hit by the whole life happens situation. Anyhow I'm finally able to invest in good ole Darlene once again, and my electrical is my 1st on the to do list. I would like to know whats the best complete rewiring kit out there available for purchase, need a complete wiring overhaul. I've located some different harnesses through Classic Industries, Summit, and JC Whitney. Witch one is the best to install on a sedan? Thanks you all in advance.

  Doing some upgrades
Posted by: Piper - 05-26-17, 09:26 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (5)

Getting the 67 Coronet ready for Carlisle, I bought some Street radials 275/60/15 and some 205/60/15s for the front (its about time I replaced whats on there).

So I'm looking at doing few things before the big show:

  • Want to go with the Caltracs does anyone have an idea on what size I should go with? I see they sell 20-22" front segment sizes.
  • I have manual steering and its sloppy, I've seen the 16:1 boxes how would that work with a 8" wide tire?
  • Brake upgrade, I did the SSBC slotted on the 68 Charger, does anyone sell a full disc brake conversion that doesn't use that portioning valve for the rears?
  • Need a set of rollers for a cup style pushrods, is harlan the only real player out there?
  • Thinking about control arms rebuilding the front end and getting some tubular uppers, what do you guys think Qa1?
  • I have a 26" radiator stuffed where the original 22" came from the factory (its a real 383 4 speed car) I'd like to clean it up and put what fits in but cooling isn't an issue now so don't want to go backwards either, I am borrowing from Mustang bag of tricks and may get a mark VI fan that flows 3500+ cfm (or the black magic equivalent ) any thoughts on what fits nicely?

  Street outlaws.
Posted by: Warhawkfight34 - 05-23-17, 07:49 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (8)

Kind of annoying. I was watching street outlaws last night (don't judge me I love the show even though its all staged) anyways they had a segment that showed fans street cars and they had 1970 coronet and they called it a challenger! WTF! Even my 12 year old son said that they should have known the difference's of the two. Anyone see this last night or is it just me who watch's the show?

  Need hardware pics
Posted by: 67-500 - 05-21-17, 01:34 PM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (2)

As some of you guys may know, my 67 was bumped in the nose back in 69 and had the grille and surround replaced; I've suspected for a long time that it doesn't have the correct hardware attaching the grille and headlight bezels and I'd like to make it right. Anyone have some pics that might help? Thanks

I ordered a board from them back on the 10th and have not heard or received anything yet. They're email address did not work for me. The website is very basic. I did not see any phone numbers either. PayPal took my payment so I'm getting anxious!

Posted by: thebankerstoy - 05-17-17, 10:14 PM - Forum: WIW eBay Craiglist Kijiji - Replies (14)

I've been wanting to purchase a new set of these headliner sail panel boards for my 1966 Coronet 500 for awhile now, so when I saw these for a very nice price I purchased a set today. I'll let you all know how I like them after they arrive. They do look like they are very nicely done.
