Monthly Tampere Cruise Night - May 2015
Posted by: TekHousE - 05-31-15, 03:41 PM - Forum: Show Annoucements/Clubs - Replies (7)

Just a few shots from our monthly cruise nights. Not only Mopar though, but was nice to cruise through the city with my cutouts open all the way! [Image: smile.png] Plus a video from my GoPro on the cruise itself.

  Viair 88P
Posted by: OldSkool - 05-30-15, 03:24 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

Just got a Viair 88P, early returns very positive. Quick, quiet, seems solidly built. Interestingly, the Coronet's tires only lost about ~1 PSI over the winter (verified with a handheld gauge as well). I was expecting more. Now I just need time from work to be able to go to a show and actually use her!

Is it Grand Theaf if the car is abandoned?
Posted by: Billb66 - 05-30-15, 02:00 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (29)

Yea I'm sure it is.

Abandoned house the grass is over a foot tall already. Looks like they pushed this out of the garage to load up other stuff.

Poor girl has been sitting for months. I've looked up the home owners on tax records and found a phone number. Phones Disconnected, go figure.

Didnt pop the hood but she' sitting right so there's something under there. Floors are gone Sad

more rusty stuff behind the fence but I wasn't brave enough to go look.

  Re-key door locks
Posted by: JennFAFA - 05-29-15, 12:57 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (10)

OK so most here know the history of my car and it being abused while on the show field at Carlise.
I'd like to see into getting the door locks re-keyed to match the ignition since I have no keys that work on the door.
How do I go about doing that?
Do I call a regular lock smith?
Do I take them out and go to a hardware store with the key and have them do it?
I am guessing i have to take the door apart? Or do they just pop out like a groundhog in a hole?
Or is it an easy thing I can do myself?

Or should I just suck it up for another show and wait til I put the new doors on later?

Decisions Decisions .....help?

Anyone have problems with keystone clamps?
Posted by: Warhawkfight34 - 05-29-15, 07:45 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Well I used them on my car and so far they have not held on my fuel system.
I was pissing fuel all over the place from the hose to the vapor separator, piss me off!
Once again I am switching to conventional 1/4" hose clamps. I don't trust keystones
anymore!!

Just had to VENT!!!

  70 Coronet E-Brake Springs?
Posted by: blownNinjected - 05-29-15, 12:43 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (2)

I have a rear disc brake conversion kit with e-brake. However my e-brake petal does not fully retract. So problem is that it shows the brake light on all the time, unless I pull the pedal up with my foot. Are there any springs that retract the pedal?

need brake advice... how hard to switch from manual disc brakes to power brakes??
Posted by: uncledon - 05-28-15, 08:55 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (5)
I have a 67 coronet that was factory drum brakes all around...sometime ago someone added front disc brakes off of A-body I think, but still left them manual. not a huge deal but someone in my area local has a power brake set up off of his 67 belvedere for sale. master cylinder, power booster, lines, rod, and back plate for firewall.
will all this interchange on my coronet with no issues? what will be needed? will work? wont work?

thanks for any advice.....
or do I leave it manual disc and just put a new manual master cylinder on it and forget about it.....
thanks.
