My question is I need new rubber for the space between the hood and the grill mainly and between the rear bumper and the body? Next I'd like to find a passenger side mirror and drivers door arm rest dark green if anyone has one? And lastly where is the best parts source to find parts for these type of cars? Thanks!!!

  Rear Seat Belts installed
Posted by: OldSkool - 05-23-15, 03:42 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (5)

Ok, not a major thing but I am getting really good at getting that rear seat in and out! Installed rear seat belts today. And now I can take the kids for a ride (which we just did) without Mom or the law getting on my case!

Pix are the front seat, the back with no belts, in progress and the final product.

Best sites/places for finding a Coronet?
Posted by: Paydirt - 05-22-15, 10:36 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

Hey guys,

New guy here from Australia, been on the forums a while but mainly lurking and reading.

For quite some time now I've been looking to purchase and import a 66/67 Coronet and have been trawling many sites and pages on my search for the right car. However, still haven't found the right car and need some help. I've used Ebay, Facebook, Craiglist and Cars-on-line in my search, however not being familiar with the US market, I'm not sure on the best sites to search for one. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction to finding a decent car that isn't overpriced. What sites are the best to search? There seems to be a big disparity between vehicles of the same type and it would help me get a better idea of the market over there.

This brings me to another question, what is the market like at the moment in the US? Is it a buyers market or a sellers market?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Peter

Throttle and kickdown linkage from 2 barrel to 4 barrel conversion?
Posted by: tkarman - 05-22-15, 07:33 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (3)

I just go my new Edelbrock Performer intake and 4 bbl carb installed on my 72' 318. In the process I've realised the kickdown linkage as well as the throttle cable are not long enough nor is the mounting plate in the right position for the new carb. I know 2 barrel to 4 barrel is common upgrade for these engines but looking around I found no easy answers. I was hoping there would be some sort of kit, mod or maybe I can just take the 4 bbl linkage out of another car at the junkyard. Has anyone done this conversion and what was your solution?

Fuel pressure of a stock 318
Posted by: tkarman - 05-22-15, 02:58 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (2)

Anyone know the stock fuel pressure of a 72' 318? I'm installing an Edelbrock Performer carb and they specify that the carb can't handle anything over 6.5psi so I'm wondering if I need to go out and buy a fuel pressure regulator.

Thanks in advance!

  Dynamat ?
Posted by: 67r/t4speeder - 05-21-15, 12:21 PM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (6)

Is dynamat OK to use in place of factory sound deadener for inside roof behind headliner?

That foamy stuff they give you even from Legendary doesn't look like it will do much.

My 3 spd 727 tranny. It says in my owners manual to use dextron. All the dextron I found said for fords and chevy's.
I ws told not to use ATF4 in my car. What should I use?

  Disc brake conversion help!
Posted by: Joe mama - 05-19-15, 11:02 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (13)

I'm installing The right stuff disc brake conversion kit on my brothers 69 road runner. The problem I'm having is with the brake line routing. The brake lines look like it will work for a front mounted caliper but I need to mount the caliper on the rear because of the sway bar mount. Does any one know what line is needed or how to mount the hose that came with the kit for rear mounted calipers? I sent a email to their tech line but they never responded.
