I recently purchaser a 65 coronet center console car, The issue is the center console doesn't want to latch, It looks like it should latch on the metal of the console but won't go down that far to catch. Is there some kind of catch that should be in the actual console??? Please advise, Thanks, Dan.

I bought this Coronet last year and like to know her previous history. What little I have is that an elderly gentleman in or around Springfield PA had collected a bunch of Coronets. When he died his wife put them in storage. She passed away and the cars were sold by the storage unit. My Coronet has the original color and a 273-2 and auto w black interior. I bought the car from [FONT="]Glenn Trainor at Herby’s Towing in Drexel Hill, PA and this info is from him. [/FONT]My research indicates that previous owners might have been associated with The National [FONT="]Railroad[/FONT] Passenger Corporation (now AMTRAC) because there was a cloth towel with NRPC letters in the trunk and two heavy iron bars, as can be used to fix railroad tracks were also in the trunk.
I would appreciate if anyone of you (in the Philadelpia area) can give me more info.

I just bought a 65 coronet, it has a 273 automatic currently, the 273 has had it and I'm thinking about pulling it and replacing everything. Here's the question I have access to a 1974 318/torque flight combination out of a 74 dart which runs fine, I'm not looking for a drag car, I want it to stay stock which makes me want this 318 to work. The question is, will this unit drop right in without complications and what will be needed additional?

Hey, I'm relatively new to the muscle car scene as an owner. Growing up, I always loved the look of the late 60's, early 70's Mopars. All of my friends in HS had muscle cars (all varieties), but I was on a different focus with playing guitar, going to college, etc. Now I'm at a point in my life where I can afford to go back to my childhood and own some of the cars I loved back then. A few years ago I bought a '69 Roadrunner, 383/4-speed. Absolutely fell in love with everything about it......sound, sight, and smell......nothing like the smell of an old muscle car! Then, on a whim (maybe to assure the money I had would get spent on a car), I bought a '66 Coronet. It wasn't what I really wanted, but it was very cool - lots of HP, loud, obnoxious and tons of fun. Just last week, I traded it for a '69 Coroner R/T with a 440 (real 440 r/t) needing restoration. VIN WS23L9A284845. This is my car I will restore to it's original glory (it's not bad looking, but needs work). I decoded it and it is surprisingly original. T5 Metallic Copper, buckets, console, white vinyl top and stripe. The next few years are going to be a blast, getting it to where I want it to be. I'm not a mechanic or body person, but I will do the interior myself and do as much as I can in the restoration. Would love to find a broadcast sheet for it.
Looking forward to learning a lot from all of the resources here.

I just purchased one of these very handy crankshaft harmonic balancer holding tools from Rick Ehrenberg on Ebay. A very simple designed tool that bolts to the harmonic balancer with two bolts and then allows you to insert a square drive 1/2" breaker bar into the square opening on the opposite end of the holding tool to hold the harmonic balancer in place while you're loosening, or tightening the large crankshaft mounted bolt. This tool will work on any big or small block Mopar engine and on both aftermarket and stock harmonic balancers as well.

Had a great show weekend. I was asked to talk to Richard Rawlings on behalf of a company here and ended up becoming good friends with him and his wife Sue!

One thing led to another and after the show weekend, Richard, Sue, me and my wife Sari spent today cruising the Finnish coast and hanging out on a private island. Followed by many, many shots of tequila back at their hotel. All in all a pretty good weekend I reckon!

Can anyone tell me what the taillights (the backside that is in the trunk) color is? Mine was painted in the past and they sprayed everything. It looks like it may have been anodized gold.

Buddies `69 Charger R/T 440 auto had these bars in and I can't seem to find those #s listed. Any ideas?

I did not plumb one in on the advice of a salesman from the brake company I bought some stuff from. He told me the adj prop valve would be enough. I'm wondering if this is why I'm getting so much pedal travel AND the darn low brake pressure lamp. Thoughts?
Does it matter where this gets plumbed in-before or after the prop valve?
