  Quarter Panel Trim
Posted by: Wanna_Bee_Super - 12-12-16, 02:34 PM - Forum: Part Numbers - Replies (2)

[Image: icon1.png] Quarter Panel Trim
[INDENT] I am looking for a set of the quarter panel trim shown below. I am having issues with getting part numbers for them out of the restoration guide that I have. From what I've seen these only came on the Coronet 500 models, is that correct?Confused
Any info is all ways appreciated. And if you have a set to sell let me know, they don't have to be pretty, just straight and complete.
Thanks.

My latest project! Not a Coronet I'm afraid..
Posted by: TekHousE - 12-09-16, 04:04 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (6)

Well since I started my new company Kokonut Kustoms and Kokonut Klassiks. I have been looking for a custom project. I found one a while ago, and it arrived at my garage tonight!

A bit of a bonus, what I thought was a a 2 door POST car, turned out to be a 2 door hardtop with electric windows all round!

the car..A '57 Plymouth Savoy! It's a project that has been started but never got completed by the last TWO owners.

Full frame off resto, 4 link rear end on air bags, Ford 9 inch (don't shoot me...) Custom engine bay, smoothed firewall, hidden brake booster etc. No engine or gearbox. This will be a concept car for my new company, in conjunction with my engine builder. So it is going to be a little radical for most Moparians to start with. We are dropping a Duramax V8 into it. But after we have some fun at the drags, and show it at a few top events over here, it will go back to being a Mopar.. With a new HEMI and 727 trans dropped into it.

Smile

Oh yeah..I'm not sold on the Mercedes E90 lights..So I'm probably going to work out a way to go back to dual headlights. But they will look modern.

I'm published in Chrysler Power Magazine!
Posted by: TekHousE - 12-08-16, 07:57 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (5)

Well I've had my car in the magazine twice before, including one time having my car on the cover. But this latest issue I have an article published along with photos I took of a Challenger here in Finland owned by a mate of mine.

Should be hitting the stands soon. I know that the digital version is already published. Here is the cover and the first page of the 4 page spread. Smile

Need a pic of trunk lock retainer cover

This is a black metal cover that conseals the lock cylinder clip. It's on the inside lip and held on with a screw. I had ours-cleaned it and painted it then....? You know how that goes!

  WIW - 67 440 HP complete engine
Posted by: don99pablo - 12-01-16, 11:24 PM - Forum: WIW eBay Craiglist Kijiji - Replies (4)

I have a 67 R/T with a 383 and am looking to put a date correct engine back in and I have a line on a 67 440 HP motor that was special ordered for a Chrysler New Yorker and pulled out back in the early 70s with around 40k on it and has been stored in a garage by the owner since then. It is complete less the passenger side exhaust manifold. It is about 2 hours from my house but I haven't seen it yet. Was told that it turns over by hand. I am trying to work out time to get there, but don't know when I will be able to swing it before the holidays. This is my first Mopar, which I bought for me and my dad to enjoy, so I have little experience with pricing, especially full engines. From what I have seen, I think it is a good price for what he is asking and I'm trying to see if I need to try to move on it. Even if it needs a full rebuild, as long as it turns over, any suggestions on what would it be worth? Also, any estimates on the cost on an engine rebuild? Thanks for the help guys. Paul

  Stupid question...

Does anyone know if the DODGE on the 67 440 trunk trim panel are the same as the ones on the trunk above the trim panel on an 67 R/T?

  Chassis dyno numbers after tune
Posted by: 67RTBlue - 11-30-16, 04:53 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Had a local guy do the alignment, check carb/timing and couple other things. Put it on his chassis dyno to do the tune and came up with 311/318hp 369/383lb- first number through the exhaust second out the dumps. His machine supposedly isn't calibrated 100% he more or less uses it to tune but I'm sure they're close. Basic rebuild, Edelbrock 750, Edelbrock CH4B intake, Hooker super comps, mild cam.
Not bad I feel! Cool
