cars you couldnt afford when you were young
Posted by: ckmopar500 - 11-29-16, 11:54 AM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

I was just thinking about some of the cars for sale now and the prices and remembering when I was in high school and college the cars that were for sale and the prices then the 2 that really stick out in my memory were a 66 or 67 coronet R/T with a hemi in Medicine Bow WY sitting outside a trailer
I left a note of course I never got a call the other was a 71 SuperBee on a car lot in my home town and I couldn't get a loan for $1500.00 even with
my mom cosigning the 71 was a 383 auto with a bench seat and column shift and was blue with a white vinyl top and interior

Center console courtesy lamp retaining clips

Does anyone know what the clips the screws go into look like? Everything I've tried is not fat enough to go around the plastic on both sides.
If so, where can you buy them?

  Dash pad

I used some leftover headliner material to cover the dash pad. Here are a couple of pictures.

  Modern type headliner
Posted by: RT K_line - 11-27-16, 11:46 PM - Forum: Modernize your Coronet - Replies (3)

I have installed a modern type headliner on my R/T. I used a sheet of corplast to do it. About $10.00 a sheet. I had already installed some insulation in between the supports. Temp dropped 15 degrees with the insulation in direct sunlight. Now it has a modern look. Corplast is basically a plastic cardboard structure. I just used yellow weather stripping adhesive to glue it to the Inslation. I also used my light from my 95 nissan hardbody pickup for the interior light. I like how it came out. Here are some pictures.

Question regarding Coker tire and the BF redline radials
Posted by: 67RTBlue - 11-22-16, 06:55 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

I got spooked after reading some bad stuff about tires coming apart due to bad construction and age. What I read did not relate directly to the BF radials. I want to buy these and use them for cruise duty. They offer a Coker classic redline radial AND the BF branded ones. I want to use the BF ones but are these remakes as well and not a new tire made by BF?

Anyone share some experiences? Big ticket item along with safety I'm concerned!

  67 coronet Trunk Torsion Bars
Posted by: 67bigred - 11-21-16, 01:28 PM - Forum: New Members - Replies (5)

Hello Coronet World

This is my first go at this and want to thank you for having in this forum.

My question, Does anyone have any video or schematics on how to properly install the trunk torsion bars on a 67 Coronet 440 2 door convertible?
I have the factory repair manual and all it has is 1 lame schematic that shows nothing to the placement of how the torsion bars are placed into the hinges.
If anyone has some info about this, Please Help. Thanks

  Tire and Rim Size
Posted by: JimKueneman - 11-21-16, 01:59 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (8)

I know this has been talked about before but would anyone have any reservations to running this on a '68 Coronet? The owner claims it is all stock and works just fine.

And secondly does anyone make left handed lug nuts for the Magnum 500 Wheels?

  Transmission pan gasket leak fix
Posted by: 67r/t4speeder - 11-20-16, 02:54 PM - Forum: DIY Tech Forum - Replies (1)

These Victor #W39003TC pan gaskets for a 727 fit really nice and seal up well, it is steel sandwiched by cork . MADE IN USA

No comparison to the balled up rubber gasket included in most filter kits.
