  Metal brake with a press
Posted by: 67r/t4speeder - 09-19-15, 03:12 PM - Forum: DIY Tech Forum - Replies (6)

I needed some 3/16 X 3.5 wide steel to bend a 90 and do not have a brake for this so I tried using the press with some angle iron, I put the rod in middle because the angle iron was bending flat and it helped long enough to get the job done. It worked well I think7028].

Last nite I got on the forum to post some pictures and the screen looked different on my phone. Did something change or is there a different option for the phone, my computer at work looks the same as before only my phone is different. I just got the hang of posting and now it's changed some. HELP!

As a newbie to the classic car hobby (life) and Coronets in particular the wisdom, direction and help delivered here has been invaluable.
Special call out to 67r/t4speeder I am not Worthywho just shipped me this! I was positively giddy to receive (and again the wife used the word "lunatic" so it's all good!).

Just arrived today from Great Lakes Mopar. Gregg was super helpful during the purchase, thanks to him a thousand times!

Came in the original box, which still has the shipping note attached to it.

New member, old restoration - 1969 Coronet 440 Project (First Post)
Posted by: 69coronet440 - 09-16-15, 12:41 PM - Forum: New Members - Replies (8)

Thanks for letting me join guys!

About 10 years ago, when I was 19 year old, I bought my 1969 Dodge Coronet 440. I bought it as a shell and knew I had a long road ahead of me but I love this car and looking forward to the first day I can sit behind the wheel and start this beast.

Over the past few years (post college), I was finally able to dig into my resto-project. So far I have my motor all done and ready to be installed. It is completely rebuilt top to bottom except head work. Should be within the next few weeks I get to fire it up for the first time! Take a look and let me know what you guys think!

I have a BUNCH of spare parts, questions about my missing parts and paint coding, so I'm sure you guys will see my rookie posts throughout the site if I can figure this all out haha.

Removal of 383 4 barrel badges on 67 Coronet?
Posted by: TekHousE - 09-15-15, 12:53 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (4)

HI,

I have pretty good original badges on my car, but I recently picked up pristine new ones. They came with speed nuts, so I am guessing my original ones have those too.. Where is the access to the back of the fender from?

  Wiring nightmare
Posted by: DodgeT - 09-15-15, 02:07 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (3)

Everything works. BUT I turn on the lights, and my right blinker lamp turns on (somewhat dim) and won't flash/blink anymore. Flashers work, lights work, blinkers even work perfectly when lights are off.

AND, I have my new, modern, awesome, stereo illumination wire run into the Orange of the old stereo harness. Works great. EXCEPT when the right blinker turns on. Then the stereo's illumination flashes with the blinker.

I do believe I have a very good ground.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm also running my aftermarket gauge lights to the orange of the old stereo harness. They dim great when the lights go on. I haven't noticed them blinking to the rhythm of the blinker yet.

Please help? I'm kind of at a loss.
