  Meguires Clay bar kit.
Posted by: Warhawkfight34 - 08-26-15, 12:26 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (24)

Well finally after who knows 2 years? Anyways I bought a Meguires clay bar kit and had a chance to do my whole car!!! My car had been at a butcher shop for a couple of things and it got a bunch of overspray all over her.
I was fortunate that nothing else happened to her and got it out of there. Well after spending just over an hour
on the whole car she is now overspray and contaminant free and it came out awesome!! I know a lot of people
probably spend $50-$60 bucks for a clay bar but this whole kit was like $20.00 and worked awesome!
So if anyone was hesitating to buy this product, I would recommend it!!

  Carburator-rebuild or replace?
Posted by: 67RTBlue - 08-25-15, 05:50 PM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (13)

Have the original carb with the tag and all and it would be nice to have it on the car. Will a new one help the engine run better/ get better mileage? This is a slightly bored mild cam 440 that will see only cruise duty.
Of course we would save the original.

  Repro wiring harness-Whos good?
Posted by: 67RTBlue - 08-24-15, 06:21 PM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (6)

Replacing the original engine and rear harness is strong possibility. If so who makes a good one? Would like to get a factory looking harness. Year one has them. Evans is another name that I've heard.
Thoughts?

Can we got or 'turn on' a 'thank you' feature on this forum?
Posted by: TekHousE - 08-24-15, 12:50 PM - Forum: Website How To's Help and Suggestions (not car related) - Replies (6)

I reckon it would be good to have here. Creates an environment where people want to help out others and see that others are thankful for useful posts.

Made a small change I didn't think I would ever do but it looks awesome.

So I ended up finding a NOS super bee grill emblem for $50.00 still in the original box and figured that sense re-popped ones are like $90.00 that was a no brainer. I always said that I would not make my car a super bee clone and I haven't. But this weekend I replaced the dodge on my grill with the bee and it looks waaaay better so I'm going to leave it.   Question about the protocol in this forum section?
Posted by: TekHousE - 08-24-15, 07:44 AM - Forum: Picture Taking Place - Replies (1)

HI all..Great we are doing this..Smile

So thanks for setting it up!

Now, what is the protocol on comments/critique?

Better talk this over now before feelings get hurt. We can all improve and we are all coming from different stages in photography 'development' (pun intended).

I am thinking about offering up critique when I can, it sure helped me when I first started shooting, but I don't want to offend anyone by picking photos apart. This also extends to post processing techniques and tips. I have been a photoshop and Adobe user since literally 1.0.. Smile And before that (before DIGITAL photography was main stream too) I used D-Paint on the Amiga. So post pro is something of a specialty for me. I am always happy to offer up my creative process to anyone that wants to listen.

Smile
