Thought I would re-post info on where to get the red tail panel paint for a 66 Net.

I am looking at purchasing a 1967 Coronet R/T and am not failure with Mopar VIN's etc. I know VIN plate on the Driver inner fender well but as I understand there is a VON also and it is stamped on the front radiator support? and driver rear weather strip extension on the or underneath the weather strip?
This car is missing the VIN plate, but has the numbers on the radiator support. I hope I can figure out how to imbed a picture of this here so you can look at.
The owner had purchased this 12 years ago from Utah and had someone do some body and paint on this and the guy removed the plate. The person who is selling this had a real bad experience with this body guy and had to come get his car back. He is now exhausted from all this and 12 years older and just wants to sell the car and move on to riding a bike into retirement.
He said he had traced the VIN plate on paper with a pencil before sending to this body shop and has it in a Chilton's book yet to be found, but he says he will find it.
I researched the title and insurance VIN and it matches the car exactly, but I understand there is a VON that is stamped on the plate and the radiator support and rear weather strip extension.
Is this correct? Please check out this number on the radiator extension and if someone could tell me anything from it I would appreciate it.
I would guess if the VIN and VON were on this traced paper and it matches the title and the radiator support it may be all true.
783780784781785782Hello I am Brendan and I am a father of 2 boys Drake age 8 and Charlie age 12. A few weeks ago I sold my BMW and picked up a 67 Coronet for a project to build with my boys. It has a 383 4b engine, 727 auto trans, (was a 4 spd car) 8 3/4 rear end, bench seat. It has a new bright yellow paint job, all new seals and bumpers for the body, new front disc conversion, trans is rebuilt, in the process of redoing the dash. We love the car and will make it our daily driver soon. For now we drive a loaner 85? nissan pile of !@#$. We are looking for parts and to meet cool people who also love Mopars. It is my kids first build and we are making progress fast as I am out of work at the moment. I looked at this site a month ago looking for info. on the 67 before we got it. We are also on the for b bodys only forum. Tonight I was looking on line with my son Drake and he told me to join this site. I already had but had not posted till tonight. Hello to all and Drake says hi and he loves Coronets! Charlie is at his moms for the week but will introduce himself when he gets back Friday. Thanks for looking. Brendan Charlie and Drake
My 440 is sick and it's lookin like its the carb. Going to change spark plugs first to see what is going on with the carb. Carb is about 4 yrs old with a 50 cc race kit in it. I have done inspection on carb, floats are set correctly, fuel psi is correct, the only thing I can see not right is the accelerator pump is not set to Holley specs. The previous owner had this set up put on at a speed shop. So I really feel like the carb has trash in it,so going to put a kit in it,how important is the accelerator pump specs?? It has been running fine since I have had it but she is sick now. I am not a carb guy,so going to wing this and hope she will run. Any encouragement and advice greatly sought after and thanks Todd
I received my badge kit yesterday. I had sent it out to a place in Florida to get a quick dip.
Originally I had sent this company my trunk "DODGE" plate. Unfortunately it was a longer piece than they were able to dip. Rather than send me the item back, they took the time to source someone who could do the work for me. Great customer service in an industry that from my experience, does not usually have great customer service.
When it came time to get my badges dipped, they were the first place I contacted.
I did not have them do anything except remove old paint and dip the items. They did a pretty nice job I think. Took just over a month to complete at a cost of $425.
This is the before picture. I had tried to clean them up and paint them but they really did not turn out well.
Now that they have new shine, I will most likely black out the inner portion of the "Coronet" letters and call it good.
I was rebuilding my instrument cluster on my 67 Coronet Wagon.
Not really rebuilding but repairing and replacing what was need, when I found the heater blower switch and connector was completely toasted.
I had taken pictures of everything as I went along so I would know where it all went after, but I screwed up on the heater blower connector and took out the three wires (light green dark green and tan) from the melted connector.
When I found a new connector I found that I had not taken a clear enough angle of the three wires as they are installed in the connector to the switch.
Do any of you guys have access to 67 blower switch wiring?
I have the service manual diagram but it does not show what wires go where on the switch.
anything would be great
thanks
I caught the second show this season. I was impressed with more "content" on the builds and less bantering. I hope the show stays with more build content. I was happy to see the detail they put into the builds, from proper parts to assembly. Refreshing
Just need more 66/67 B Bodys on the show.. and no bantering, whining, and drama.
I,m painting the interior steel in my 67 . I already did the dash and glove compartment lid in semi gloss black and trimed in silver . Looks good if I must say so myself . What was used from the factory as far as painting the steel parts in the interior such as the doors and bottom of dash and steering colume ? Gloss like what was on the body ? Semi gloss ? Thanks .
