  Fan shroud advise
Posted by: Hibbing_Coronet_500 - 03-01-13, 03:22 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (6)

I just got my new ECP 26 inch Aluminum Radiator. $218.00 shipped to the door. Its a nice unit! It bolted right in with no issues!

The only issue is it has no flange to mount the factory shroud.

A friend sugested I use a chrome half shroud made by Trans Dapt or Mr Gasket

Im not too excited on how they make you mount their shrouds to the radiator using the core as the support by passing those plastic rods through the core to mount it.

What ya think?

  keeping it "stock"?
Posted by: cnmsales - 02-28-13, 10:00 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (10)

Question. I am wanting to keep my net as stock/original as possible. That being said. The front seat is shot and will have to be completely rebuilt. My buddy I bought the net from knows a guy who has a front seat from a 66 two door and is looking to sell it for 100 bucks. Would found this decrease the value and hurt it if entered into shows? I think I already know the answer but wanted to confirm.

Well I have not been on here in a while, and I thought I would check in tonight. Looks like everything is new and improved! Just saying hello again because even on the old board it had been a while since I posted. I will attach a picture of my 65 coronet wagon that I have and was working on while the old board was up. I also have a couple 65 coronet 2 door sedans that need restored, and my be working out the details of a new coronet.
I will keep everyone posted and I am glad to be back!
Matt

ATTN: New car club started - Detroit area
Posted by: 6packMIKE - 02-26-13, 12:21 PM - Forum: Show Annoucements/Clubs - No Replies

Hi all,

Some friends and I have started a car club in the Detroit area called Twisted Axle Car Club. We are an all makes and models club that focuses on classic and modified cars and trucks.

We have a large club house, with hoists, storage and lots of parking space for shows, events, etc. Soon we will have decals and shirts but we just got started. We will also be doing some car shows, poker runs, and meet and greets as well.

We just set up a facebook site last night. So check it out http://www.facebook.com/#!/TwistedAxleCarClub Maybe post what you are working on, your current ride or just something cool. We would appreciate it!!!

All are welcome to the facebook page even if you are not from detroit.

For the local people we are located at 15 and mound in sterling hts. and cruise around any time the weather is nice. Weekdays, weekends, whenever. We are also currently restoring some cars and are affiliated with several shops in the area.

Let me know if you have any questions or interest. Any type of feedback would also be appreciated.

here are some pics of my rides and the shop. It is packed right now for storage, but will be mostly empty in the summer.

The 72 scamp is in progress and almost done.

We hope to see some of you around town or on the web.

thank you

-mike

  New and Into Coronets
Posted by: steve817 - 02-25-13, 02:09 AM - Forum: Car History -- Build Sheet Lost & Found - Replies (5)

Hello Everyone! I am not new to Mopars but new to this site. I have a question regarding the best process to find a 67 Coronet R/T that my folks bought new. It's actually the car that got me into Mopars in the first place. My mother called a while back and said that she found a bunch of paperwork for "that R/T". She gathered everything up and sent it to me and to my surprise, there was the original build sheet, the card that was filled out by the salesman, service records, registrations, pictures, etc. That means I do have the vin number. Thanks in advance for info. Steve
