  Holley 750 double pumper question
Posted by: honcho - 02-08-13, 09:58 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (11)

My 440 is sick and it's lookin like its the carb. Going to change spark plugs first to see what is going on with the carb. Carb is about 4 yrs old with a 50 cc race kit in it. I have done inspection on carb, floats are set correctly, fuel psi is correct, the only thing I can see not right is the accelerator pump is not set to Holley specs. The previous owner had this set up put on at a speed shop. So I really feel like the carb has trash in it,so going to put a kit in it,how important is the accelerator pump specs?? It has been running fine since I have had it but she is sick now. I am not a carb guy,so going to wing this and hope she will run. Any encouragement and advice greatly sought after and thanks Todd

  Badge Kit
Posted by: stamm321 - 02-08-13, 11:42 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (7)

I received my badge kit yesterday. I had sent it out to a place in Florida to get a quick dip.
Originally I had sent this company my trunk "DODGE" plate. Unfortunately it was a longer piece than they were able to dip. Rather than send me the item back, they took the time to source someone who could do the work for me. Great customer service in an industry that from my experience, does not usually have great customer service.

When it came time to get my badges dipped, they were the first place I contacted.
I did not have them do anything except remove old paint and dip the items. They did a pretty nice job I think. Took just over a month to complete at a cost of $425.

This is the before picture. I had tried to clean them up and paint them but they really did not turn out well.

Now that they have new shine, I will most likely black out the inner portion of the "Coronet" letters and call it good.

  Screwed up fan switch wiring
Posted by: boydsdodge - 02-07-13, 08:23 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (9)

I was rebuilding my instrument cluster on my 67 Coronet Wagon.
Not really rebuilding but repairing and replacing what was need, when I found the heater blower switch and connector was completely toasted.
I had taken pictures of everything as I went along so I would know where it all went after, but I screwed up on the heater blower connector and took out the three wires (light green dark green and tan) from the melted connector.
When I found a new connector I found that I had not taken a clear enough angle of the three wires as they are installed in the connector to the switch.
Do any of you guys have access to 67 blower switch wiring?
I have the service manual diagram but it does not show what wires go where on the switch.
anything would be great
thanks

I caught the second show this season. I was impressed with more "content" on the builds and less bantering. I hope the show stays with more build content. I was happy to see the detail they put into the builds, from proper parts to assembly. Refreshing

Just need more 66/67 B Bodys on the show.. and no bantering, whining, and drama.

I,m painting the interior steel in my 67 . I already did the dash and glove compartment lid in semi gloss black and trimed in silver . Looks good if I must say so myself . What was used from the factory as far as painting the steel parts in the interior such as the doors and bottom of dash and steering colume ? Gloss like what was on the body ? Semi gloss ? Thanks .   66 Coronet - correct tires?
Posted by: airdefenz - 02-06-13, 03:13 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (8)

Hello - I am painting my original 66 Coronet Rims the color of my car (red) and will put dog dish caps on those rims. Does anyone have a suggestion for tires? I found that non-Hemi Coronet's came with Blackwalls and whitewalls. Hemi cars came with blue lines (possibly some coating that used to wash off?).

I would consider some nice Redlines if anyone may know if they are period correct? I also like the Goodyear Bias Polyglas white letter tires as they would add to the "sleeper" look of my car.

Any thoughts on which tires to put on and perhaps where to get them? I have looked at Coker, Classic Industries and others. The rims are 14's.

Thanks!
