  Question regarding tie rod
Posted by: cnmsales - 03-11-13, 11:26 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (18)

Looking on rock auto they have a listing for a front inner and front outer. Is this the same as left tire right tire? Or do both sides have an inner and outer?

Hot Rod mag issue 05/13: A Must Read on electrical issues
Posted by: Hibbing_Coronet_500 - 03-11-13, 06:03 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (4)

Hey guys,
Heads up on a good read from Hot Rod Mag. I have already gone thru this myself. I did my fix a little different. But for those who are hurting now to get their Coronet running?
This is a good read!

As I did,
They put the ignition systems on a relay. They did not got into a ton of detail on that.
I put 4 items on my relay. 1) Voltage regulator "Blue" signal wire. 2) Coil feed to Balast resistor. 3) dangly bits volt meter to monitor true signal voltage back from battery.
And finally the power to the Mopar Performance orange ignition box.
I fueled my relay off the starter relay with a inline fuse. I used the orignial from the key "blue" wire as the trigger wire.

Now my voltage regulator, coil and volt meter see true voltage without the voltage drop thru the bulkhead. You would be amazed at how the Mopar performance orange ignition box loves 14.3 volts.....

Greetings from the great white north. I'm new to this site, hoping to expand my horizons. I live in southern Alberta. I am the proud owner of a 1968 Dodge Coronet 500. It currently has a 400 big block, 727 torqueflite and 8 3/4 with 3.23 gears. I've owned it since I was 15.

I threw the seat in the car and drove it around my neighborhood, felt good to drive it. Here are some pics of the restored dash, I think it came out pretty good.

Hey Tony D. here. I'm new to the site and also new to classic mopar's. I have been driving new mopars for most of my life (jeep's, caravan, 2006 charger) but last summer i picked up a coronet 500 convertible. I love this car, the last owner did badge it and stripe it as an r/t, but it dosn't bother me. Don't know if he was on this site or not, but here are a few of pictures. B7 blue-Blue int-orig 318.

Looks like I get to add my elec probs to the list.i bypassed ammeter on my 69 bee.new wiring harness, updated regulator dual field alternator, battery is about 2 weeks old.put a voltmeter on it today and now it's overcharging.have ground pigtails on reg.mp box block, the whole works.voltmeter comes up 16-17 volts at about 2000 rpms.i get 18 volts at alt stud and over 16 at battery.do I start with a another new regulator?maybe alt is bad?thanks for opinions,David.
