Hot Rod mag issue 05/13: A Must Read on electrical issues - Hibbing_Coronet_500 - 03-11-13 Hey guys, Heads up on a good read from Hot Rod Mag. I have already gone thru this myself. I did my fix a little different. But for those who are hurting now to get their Coronet running? This is a good read! As I did, They put the ignition systems on a relay. They did not got into a ton of detail on that. I put 4 items on my relay. 1) Voltage regulator "Blue" signal wire. 2) Coil feed to Balast resistor. 3) dangly bits volt meter to monitor true signal voltage back from battery. And finally the power to the Mopar Performance orange ignition box. I fueled my relay off the starter relay with a inline fuse. I used the orignial from the key "blue" wire as the trigger wire. Now my voltage regulator, coil and volt meter see true voltage without the voltage drop thru the bulkhead. You would be amazed at how the Mopar performance orange ignition box loves 14.3 volts.....
