My wife's 64 Dart got clipped in the front at a parking lot,the guy had a truck and hit the drivers side head lamp bezel and dented the front bumper. This is a unmolested original car, paint, interior, floor mats, man everything original . It has the petina of rust on the paint here and there, but I am not gonna do a damn thing to her. The bumper I am going to have straighted out,as I do not want a shiny new bumper on this car because it would not look right, yea I know, when you straighted bumpers, the chrome cracks,so be it,it will look right. Man before I go searching, does anybody on here have a headlight bezel for her??? We have been so sick because this happened, but I think I can make it right again by finding a good used bezel. My A body rant is infiltrating a B body forum, but this is my home. Thanks ToddBeer

  Another new Guy from Germany
Posted by: Wolle - 03-11-15, 05:04 PM - Forum: New Members - Replies (14)

Hi!

I am Wolfgang, 32 years old from Lower Saxony / Germany and proud owner of a 67 Coronet Deluxe Station Wagon, VIN WL45F75142459.
It still has the first paintjob although it is in a very "used" condition (but that's what i like, i will keep it just like it is now).

The first owner of it was from Cascade Locks, Oregon and bought the car in August 1967 (That's what the Certicard says).
The next owner I could track because of several insurance Documents inside the Glove box drove it in Las Vegas in the mid 90's. The last owner in the United States is from Pahrump, Nevada and sold it to the first German owner in May 2011. Maybe someone can help and complete the "family tree" , although I know that this is almost impossible Smile

Now some pictures:

As you can see, there are some parts missing, which are very hard to find here in Germany like the arm rests and the left moldings...that's one of the reasons why I'm here Smile

Greetings

Wolfgang

  Extra wheel opening molding screws?
Posted by: 67RTBlue - 03-11-15, 12:29 PM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (3)

This has puzzled us since we bought the car. Why would someone add two more screw holes right next to the original ones? This was on an original untouched fender. The holes appear to have been punched not drilled. That alone is a feat due since the molding is stainless and the fender is old fashioned thick! There appears to have been a screw at one time in the original holes by marks in the molding. The original stamped holes are in the fender and line up with the factory holes in the molding. 60's fluke?
Our car had extra speakers in the doors and guess where they punched the hole for the speaker wire in the pillar.... right through the center of the VIN plate! WHY not move up or down a couple inches???
Another fluke was the antenna cable was punched through the firewall and inner fender to reach the fender. There was a rubber plug in the pillar where the antenna was supposed to be routed.

  8 & 3/4 Experts wanted!
Posted by: Avenger - 03-08-15, 03:00 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (5)

Hey guys.. i had an odd issue and i wanted to see if anyone here had some insight.. My 66 coronet has a 8 3/4 rear end.. my Drivers side wheel seal keeps leaking and i dont understand how or why.. first off i made the swap to green bearings a few years back and they have been flawless and very good...in 2013 before i put the car away for winter the same drivers wheel seal started leaking diff fluid.. i found it odd because of the o rings in the green bearings.. so i replaced the inner wheel seal... 2014 went by fine drove a lot and even drove it to carlisle.. i go out today to just start it up.. and that wheel is leaking diff fluid again..how is it possible with a good fairly new seal in there and an o ring on the green bearing?

  Bumper jack ID
Posted by: mike1968rt - 03-08-15, 05:50 AM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Picked up a jack at an estate sale for 2 bucks. I am very positive it is Mopar. I tried to look it up in Nick's Garage, but no luck. Of course the website doesn't have pics of all Mopar jacks. The hook doesn't have a part number stamped in it, just an A on the front. It has a notch at the bottom. I was wondering if anyone recognizes the hook with the notch, or knows of another source of info.

Looking for an air cleaner that will fit my dual carbs..
Posted by: blownNinjected - 03-05-15, 08:55 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (2)

I'm having trouble finding an air cleaner setup that will work on my 70 Coronet. It has an aftermarket K frame, flat hood, a crate HEMI motor with a marine manifold and dual Edelbrock carbs. What came with the car hits the hood (pic 1). I guess I need something like in (pic 2).

I see some out there, but not sure what works and what does not. I would like to see if somebody has something that does work with my setup, and if I could try before I buy would be great too Smile

Much appreciated help.
