  Wiper motor sent out
Posted by: Warhawkfight34 - 02-26-15, 09:32 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

So one of the last pieces I have to get restored is my 3spd wiper motor so this past weekend I drove it down to Instrument specialties to have Mike Mancini restore it. Let me tell you I can't say ENOUGH about the
knowledge and craftsmanship of the artist down there. Cause lets be serious when they are this good we should call them artist! Here are some before pics. when I get is back I will post after pics.564256435644

  RedLine Dog Dish Restoration
Posted by: Billb66 - 02-25-15, 04:11 PM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (20)

I thought I'd share the best way to date I have figured out how to restore a Redline Dog Dish.

"Caution"
This isn't perfect, not for the faint of heart and I don't recommend trying it on a cap that is worth anything to you.

First step was to find the deep scratches and dents. They show up after hitting an area with 220 wet sanding paper.

Then I gently tap out the dent from the back side.

Once the dents and deep scratches are gone using 220 I move on to 500, 1200,1500 then 2000 grit. After that its White rouge on a sisal wheel.

(More to follow. This is tough with pics they dont upload so easy)

  'nuther question on the brakes
Posted by: rlsbee - 02-23-15, 06:02 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (5)

Not to be a pain in the butt, but I've got another question. After putting everything together, it all looked correct but the star wheel lengthened the adjuster when turned down (toward the bottom of the backing plate). That seems like the wrong way. Shouldn't the wheel move toward the top when the lever pulls on it and lengthen the adjuster? I bought a new adjuster kit since I needed the cable and guide. I used the new adjuster, and it is not marked L or R, but the box was marked RH (passenger side). The one that was originally on that side moves (lengthens) correctly(also not marked). In other words, when facing the star wheel (as in the picture), when I turn the wheel toward the top, it lengthens the adjuster. Am I right that the wheel should move toward the top to lengthen the adjuster?56225623

  67 R/T Emissions
Posted by: Kevsdodge - 02-23-15, 11:33 AM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (6)

Was at a site today and see a decal noted for 66 and 67 cars with CAP. My car was built and shipped to California with 4329 Carb and CAP. Were would have this decal been placed as I never saw this on any 66 or 67 Coronet. I thought emission decals did not start until 68

  Members Gallery are back.
Posted by: 67440Dodge - 02-20-15, 01:17 AM - Forum: Website How To's Help and Suggestions (not car related) - Replies (6)

The software to run galleries is now open source, so it was free. To access them, visit the link under The Hangout.

Maximum image size that can be uploaded is 1M in size.

As time goes on and we can better determine usage, we need to keep the storage limits a little low. Depending on usage, they may increase.
For now, regular members will get 10M in storage. Members that make a donation will receive 30M in storage.

Let me know if you have any questions..

Mike
