  1966 & 1967 Dodge & Plymouth B-Body Front Windshield Trim
Posted by: thebankerstoy - 12-30-14, 12:20 AM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - No Replies

Here is a complete parts interchange guide for all of the 1966 and 1967 Dodge Coronet, Dodge Charger and Plymouth Belvedere B-Body models outside front windshield moulding trim. It basically breaks down to the following three body style groups.

Group 1: all 1966 and 1967 2 door hardtop models
Group 2: all 1966 and 1967 convertible coupe models
Group 3: all 1966 and 1967 2 door sedans, all 1966 and 1967 4 door sedans, all 1966 and 1967 station wagon models

Some of this windshield moulding trim is NOT interchangeable between the above three groups of body styles, so please check the part numbers carefully!

Information that I will post for each part includes the following:

(01) Section number. This is the section number in both the 1966 and 1967 Factory Parts Book where the listed part can be found.
(02) Part number. If there is a left and right side for any given part I will notate this.
(03) Part description. I will list the parts as they are found in the 1966 and 1967 Factory Parts Books except that I will use full words rather than abbreviations as Chrysler did in the parts books to save space.
(04) Number used. This will show how many of each part is used per vehicle.
(05) Application. I will post each model that uses the listed part so folks will know exactly which parts fit their particular car. This will also help owners understand which other Dodge and Plymouth models can be sourced for these parts.

New-B with a great condition '72 in Seattle area
Posted by: tkarman - 12-27-14, 09:59 PM - Forum: New Members - Replies (8)

Just signed up here and wanted to say hi and show the car. I'm in the Seattle area and would love to meet others from around here with Coronets or similar B-body cars.

It runs and drive amazingly well and I have only found one tiny ding on the right front fender. All the chrome is in great shape and there is virtually no rust I've found besides a couple teeny spots on the surface. I am going to refresh the front end parts as well as the steering gear and refresh a lot of the electrical including bypassing the ammeter and running a direct line from the battery to the starter and alternator. I think after that I will put in new carpet, add headers, glasspacks, rebuild the carburetor, attempt to fix any oil leaks and then paint. I'm thinking dark green with a black stripe down the middle but who knows I will probably change my mind multiple times before then. I also haven't decided if I want to keep the original steel wheels with the original caps. I think I want a little more aggressive of a look from the wheels than the stock look.

It will most likely sleep under a cover for most of the winter. Here are some picks I took on a rainy day.

I cannot get my 383 to smooth out. 2 different ignition modules. 2 different distributors. 3 sets of plugs. 3 sets of wires. New motor mounts made it worse, new tranny mount even more worse! Schumacher torque strap way way worse!

I inspected the converter and the balancer. That are for a forged crankshaft. No balance weights on converter and damper has no teardrop weight mass.

Could I have a cast crank with the wrong damper and converter on it?
Its a 1968 383. Not sure if it was a HP. That mark is missing assuming the engine was decked at one time.
Im at the end of my rope!

Any ideas?
Thank you
