Certain words are banned from being posted.  The new forum allows us to change them to something more acceptable without blocking the post or having to moderate it.

For example,  another word for dropping  a deuce now shows up as POS

There is a 200 PM limit that can be stored, this includes inbox, sent, trash.   If you get a warning you've reached the limit you'll need to clear some out.

One fast way to clear them out is to select EMPTY FOLDERS in the Private Message section. 

   

Then select the folders you want to empty and click DELETE.

   

Many ways to reply to a post.

If you just want to reply without attaching or quoting,  just type it in the Quick Reply field and select POST REPLY.

If you want to quote the post,  select the REPLY button.  To do multiple post quote.  select QUOTE button and select posts you want to quote, then type your reply below the text from the message quoting.

   

There are 2 ways to put a video in a post.   First is just copy the URL and paste in into the post.

If you want it to show as a embedded video, click on the film icon on the bar above.  Note: to get the bar to appear when replying a post, you need to click on NEW REPLY to bring up the full reply screen.

   

Then select where the video is located at (Vimeo, Youtube, Twitch, etc) and paste the URL in the VIDEO URL section then click on INSERT.  WARNING:  If the location doesn't match the video type, it will show just the URL and whatever error message that location shows.

   

If you want to attach a file to a post, do the following.   I can't get more descriptive for mobile devices because of how it appears on each different phone.

Scroll down to the Attachments, and either click on box or tap it with finger if on mobile.

   

Select the file you want.  Then if you want it shown as a thumbnail, click on POST THREAD.   If you want it inserted into the post, put the cursor where you want it to appear and click on INSERT INTO POST.  You'll see the attachment number appear in the post.  If you want to preview the post with the attachments embedded, click on PREVIEW POST.  If it looks good, then click POST THREAD.

   

If you want to link to an attachment on another server or storage, click the ATTACHMENTS icon in the bar above, and enter in the link to the image.

   



The allowed attachment types are:

bmp
gif
jpeg
jpg
pdf
png
txt

NOTE: .HEIC files from Iphones are not supported. You need to change in Settings on your phone for the camera under FORMATS to Most Compatible. To view .HEIC files on windows you have to buy a convertor from the Microsoft store (at least for W10, not sure about 11).

Note: to get the attachments window to appear when replying a post, you need to click on NEW REPLY to bring up the full reply screen.

   

Due to a bug in the theme the forum was running it wouldn't let you click the link to try and reset your password at login, I had to set the forum theme to the default.

If you want to switch back because you can log in, at the bottom right of screen is the theme selection.  

Just click on the box marked DEFAULT

and select Duende.   This will set the forum for you to the other one which is more mobile friendly and shows recent posts.

Birthdays may not appear correctly.  To fix it, click on your user name below the forum logo

   

Then click on EDIT PROFILE

   

Then fix your birthday...
