Over the past year I’ve been trying to track down my grandpas 1968 coronet rt that he sold in May or June of 69 somewhere in Detroit area he doesn’t remember what dealer though, but the problem is that he doesn’t think he has any pictures or paperwork with anything on it anymore. Is there anyway we could find anything anymore? He had bought it at Stanford dodge in Lincoln park Michigan on December 2 1967. He had it in dark blue with a black vinyl top. He also had ordered it with turn singles on fenders, 8 track radio, black bucket seats with headrests, and rallye dash. He had a 440 with the 3 speed automatic, the engine was not numbers matching and was replaced at same dealer around 8 months after he got it. His name is Claude short if anyone would know anything.

Y'all might remember that twice in a row my fresh transmission went forward in all gears.  Very frustrating to say the least!

I am now confident the transmission is now fixed.  Just needs to be reinstalled.

I did find the root cause.  I should of pushed harder to find the problem the first time.  Make a long story short, the wrong reaction support was installed in it.  The internals are 71-77, and a 78 reaction support got installed.  The 78 reaction support used 3 sealing rings instead of 2, and the porting is different.  The rear clutch (that makes the car go forward) port output location was changed to the face instead of inside the support between the two sealing rings.  The rear clutch never saw fluid from the valve body as that port was effectively blocked off.

So would have expected no forward gears.  But what caused the car go forward in all gears is that the converter feed port now has 2 additional ports between the 2 sealing rings.  So the rear clutch saw converter pressure at all times hence the car moving forward in all gears.

The contamination had to be the clutches fighting each other when the rear clutch was engaged and it wasn't supposed to.

Live and learn.........

Might be a Mopar guy? He has about ten bays at his house but never see anyone moving around.

My dad is looking for his old 1969 Dodge Coronet RT. He was the original owner and custom ordered it to his specs at Falls Church Motors in Falls Church Virginia. It was B5 blue in color. He recently found its original window sticker and bill of sale. He would love to reunite with the car and share stories with the current owner. Approximately a year ago he thought he might have found a for sale ad for it, but the car had sold and the person who sold it didn’t give him much to go off other than he thought it went “out west.”

When it left my dad’s hands it had milled heads, long tube headers, 6 pack intake setup, and traction bars he fabricated himself in shop class.

Sorry if this has already been addressed but I didn’t find anything specific to my engine.

I have a 68 with a 318. Wanting to get rid of the points and update to electronic distributer. In the near future I also plan to update to EFI. Just trying to figure out what I need.
 
Anything specific I need to think about now that will be compatible when I switch to EFI?

I found the pertronix conversion to replace my points. I assume I need a coil but which one, there’s different Voltages?

Do I also need to replace the ignition box? Or anything else?

I've got a 1958 Dodge Coronet that has the original brake master cylinder. I would like to upgrade the master cylinder to a power brake system but don't know how to do it. Does anyone know if there is a power brake system that I should use that is an easy conversion that you can send me a link to purchase? Also, if you know of any good videos that show how to do the conversion, that would be helpful too.

Just want to say, ‘What’s happening?’
First time owning a classic mopar. Bought this 68 more door, 440 trim, 318 equipped for my 14 y.o. son. We’ve been working on it a little but wanted to join this forum to learn more about it. 
Bought this one out of a barn, been sitting 31 years. It does run (now), after new fuel system and braking.
Excited to see what me and my boy can learn from those in here with more knowledge and experience than me.

PS- cannot figure out how to turn my pictures the correct way ??‍♂️
