FelPro Performance sells thicker gaskets to drop the CR a bit, .039 and .051 compressed

Cometic has a couple thick ones too, .040 and .051 I believe.

Since you have to fix #8, might be good idea to bite the bullet and do hardened on the rest of the exhausts.
I totally agree with Mike Andy, hardened exhaust valve seats are a must have these days with the lousy unleaded fuels we have. :p

I saved the head gasket since I noticed a number on it, I will check it out .

I will ask head guy to check if seats were upgraded good idea thanks.
Had Dave inspect the 915 heads that came with the engine and they are all messed up, bad porting, one had seats one didn't and one seat fell out , some welding in port like they went too far and tried to fix, and to top it off they are warped. Boat anchor's ? I keep thinking to myself "and this 440 ran pretty damn good like that too WOW" LOL

Plan B: taking my 906 heads off 426 in car now and freshining those since I know those were prepped properly
