  Late B-body seats?
Posted by: Phantom440 - 05-07-13, 10:24 AM - Forum: The Swan Song Years 1971-1976 - No Replies

Hey all, I had a quick question... I've got a '71, and I've also got a front split bench seat from a '76 2 door (split at top and bottom)... I've heard that late model seats bolt into earlier B bodies as long as you've got the '71-'74 bucket seat brackets. Does anyone know if this is true?
Thanks for any help. Smile

  66 Front Window Question
Posted by: stamm321 - 05-07-13, 12:45 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (2)

I am slowly going through what the body shop did when they put my car back together and I am finding a few (expected) unexpected issues. One issue is that both driver and passenger windows were removed, and when put back into place they forgot to put the "runners" in the windows.

I am not really sure what these are referred to as ( i call them runners), or what the part number is - nor do i remember what they look like - but both sides have a part that hooks into the front of the window and keeps it in its track.

Does anyone know what the part is called - or where they are sold? the body shop guys had a blank face when I asked about them.

1967 Coronet front bumper turn indicators
Posted by: Hibbing_Coronet_500 - 05-05-13, 12:14 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (10)

I was doing my walk around on my 67 before taking it out.
I never noticed this before.
With the parking lights off. The front bumper indicators flash properly with the turn and the four ways on.
With the headlights on.. No flash at all for either turn and four way flash.
The rear lights work properly.
Any thoughts?
Thank you

  A story about build sheets.
Posted by: df68383 - 05-05-13, 12:02 AM - Forum: Car History -- Build Sheet Lost & Found - Replies (14)

As some of you know, or not........we bought our Bee new. Sometime in about 1975, or 76....I know about when because of where I was washing the car, and found this wad of paper under the seat. It was starting to shred, was sort of newsprint paper with a whole bunch of numbers and codes; mostly unreadable and I had no idea just what this was. I threw it away. It was not until many years later when I was asked about the "build sheet" and it was described to me that I even thought about this again. So mine was not "lost", I know where it went, I sure wish that I'd have known what it was away back then!

Wiring... let me pull my hair out ARGH!
Posted by: Piper - 05-04-13, 10:05 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (39)

Trying to get my 68 Charger wired up and running

I took the cluster out, did the white face gauge thing and while it was out took the opportunity to change all the bulbs (everything was pretty much burned out so I started fresh)

The wiring forward light harness was shot, so I bought a used/working one (Im already thinking that the issue) purchased two new marker lights plugged in all in and here are the issues I have now

The black wire that goes on the alt gauge gets hot hot hot hot..man like really hot just with the key switch on (I checked the grounds and the cluster is also grounded)

all the lights turnsignals work with the exception of the driver side turnsigal is dim when it blinks when and the parking light (same fixture) simply wont turn on everything on the passenger side is working

ok..where do I start?

Beer!

After all the repairs I made to my Coronet over the winter. I scheduled Sea Trials for Saturday.
Going to run about 100 miles. Going to do a test and tune, and hope I don't need my AAA card and a roll back!

Have the sheet from my old 69 R/T WS23L9G233161
Posted by: Big Bad Dad - 05-01-13, 11:52 PM - Forum: Car History -- Build Sheet Lost & Found - Replies (2)

I have the sheet from a 69 Coronet R/T I sold many years ago in the Roanoke Va. area. I would reunite it with the current owner upon verification he has the car. And I would like to know where my old car is now. I had a lot of fun with it. WS23L9G233161
