okay so i found this 440 1969 coronet im going to buy it for 1200 its a 4 door my question is would the floorpan fit my 2 door 440 1969 model where the driver side is? and rear panel where the feet go? u might ask why am i going to buy this car for the panels but this car has the back seats in mint condition front windshield bumpers front chrome rear chrome and whole dash complete with headliner is this worth it :] i also picked up the original stereo from it and door locks with ignition keys all of it stereo 440 dash emblem and keys for 75$ is this a good deal to get the whole car instead of buying parts from parts?

I had to have my car towed home today... after punching it i was greeted with a cloud of smoke following me... was pouring transmission fluid out of the bell housing... whats the best way to drop the trans and what could be leaking like that? it ran out of fluid so it cant be minor lol

Posted by: beefman - 04-18-13, 07:51 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (9)

I got my R/T out of hibernation last weekend. As it was running and getting warmed up I noticed what looked like steam comming out of the cowl vent and also out of the defrost vent.I'm thinking heater core leaking or getting bad.Any ideas? There is no coolant on the floorboard.

69 bee 383 guess you would call mild build. .30 over not sure on cam.750 carb.727 trans.3.23 rear.i think it's a little doggy on the low end.thinking of going to either 3.55 or 3.73.dont do a whole lot of hiway driving but I do want to drive 70 or so from time to time.afraid i won't feel enough difference with the 3.55.looking for any opinions on either gear?just want a little more fun from the lights.thanks,David.
