I don't remember if we had a link to this cool web site on the old DCR or not, but here it is for those of you who enjoy the factory sales brochures. Lots of different makes and models. Cool

  Ken Montgomery RIP

I learned a little while ago that Ken Montgomery passed away. Anyone who ever met Ken had the privilege to meet one of the nicest guys in drag racing. His '555' '65 Plymouth was famous here on the east coast. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Hey Guys,
I'd been trying to join since I bought my Coronet in September and its good to see the sight active again and with a wonderful mobile format for ultimate goofing off at work. I'm on here to maybe learn a thing or two and maybe teach a thing or two as well as have another resource for my poly.... or find a big block. I look forward to chatting with everyone!
Thanks again,
Trav

  66 coronet
Posted by: Ledsled 75 - 01-27-13, 04:16 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (12)

I went and looked at a 66 2door yesterday, the body is straight. All the exterior trim is there, but there is no engine or interior, even the dash has been taken out. The car has a clutch pedal in it, he said it had a 383 when he got it. He wants $4000, he wont budge a single bit on his price! He wont even let me take pictures of it, he is quite the jerk to put it nicely, anyway is the car worth what he wants for it? Or should I just wait for another?

Make old Chrome look brand new. On the cheap and easy
Posted by: cnmsales - 01-27-13, 02:36 AM - Forum: DIY Tech Forum - Replies (12)

So, some may be wondering an easy and inexpensive way to make your chrome look like new. When I got my Coronet from my buddy he drove it a lot of in the country on dirt roads. Needless to say the wheel caps and bumper and fender where in BAD shape. All you have to do is purchase you some steel wool and go to town on the chrome with it. Below is a before and after picture of my wheel caps. Each one took between 30 minutes and an hour to do but boy did it bring them back to life.

Throttle cable broke. How to replace? 67 440
Posted by: cnmsales - 01-27-13, 02:20 AM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (4)

So Piper has been helping me with this in PM but if the info isn't on the board then others cant find it in the future. Thus this post.

I have a 67 440 4 door with a 318 polyblock out of a 65 dodge van.

Today, the throttle cable broke on me while driving. Good times. Smile

Any way, were can i get a new one at? When i called the parts store they said they can get one for a 65 coronet but not for the 67. I figured these are interchangeable on these models but wasn't sure? When determining this am I needing to tell them I need one for a 67/65 coronet, or should I get one based on the engine coming out of a 65 dodge van?

Thanks in advance for the info.
