  Hello Again!
Posted by: Big Bad Dad - 01-19-13, 04:05 AM - Forum: The Muscle Car Years 1965-1970 - Replies (17)

I'm glad to find you guys again. I am the proud owner of a 67 R/T which I have owned since 1977. And it's garage mate 64 Fury which I have owned since 1987. And I am privileged to have met and known the original owners of them both!

I just found you guys again, wondered what was going on. I don't post a lot, but want to be here. I have worked on my profile, but can't find the option to put my avatar pic back up.
Also, are the old threads coming back? I had a post trying to reunite a broadcast sheet with my old R/T.
Thanks, and good luck with the improvements!

  My '66 440
Posted by: Zaq - 01-18-13, 10:02 PM - Forum: Coronet Restoration/Paint Shop/Body Shop - Replies (4)

On the old forum I had a thread started with pictures of my '66 440 that I am restoring. Body was in good shape when I got it but the 400 (out of a 1978 Detroit police car, real Blues Brothers POS) was just sitting in it and there wasn't a single wire to be found. I have since put an aftermarket wiring harness in, got and rebuilt an Edelbrock Performer carb, got a parts car, ripped the parts car to shreds and kept the good stuff, and now I'm back to work on my project. In the past three weeks I have gotten the following parts in the mail:

Gas Tank mounting strap, tank pad, and filler neck gasket
Complete ignition system - Distributor, coil, modules, wires...
Headers
Trans Cooler lines
Water Pump
Alternator
Starter
Random smaller stuff

Pretty stoked to get it all on the car and get it running. Got an entire weekend devoted to wrenching in February (wife is taking my daughter out of town with her) and plan to have all this stuff on and get the car running that weekend. Will definitely post a video when I get there.

BTW, where does everyone get their parts? I've been ordering through Summit Racing because it allows me to enter the engine that doesn't really match my car so well and it also allows me to enter my car for those types of items. Also I am in Michigan and they're in Ohio. I pay 12 bucks for every package and it arrives the next day every time. Anyone have any other great gems I should know about? (I have also used Rock Auto, Jegs, and Year One)

Either I must type extremely slow, or a time limit is put on how long you stay logged on. Three times I have tried to post a decent size paragraph, when I click on post It dissapears and says I am not logged in, urghh. Its a bummer!!

Anyone good at guessing tire size ?
Posted by: BooBoo - 01-16-13, 05:04 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

If you go to youtube and type in Robert Lillys Coronet , you,ll see a beautiful 67 Coronet . It has the same stance , tires , and wheels that I want mine to have . I,m wondering what side those tires and rims are . Thanks . BooBoo
