fuel gage and temp light inop on 67
Posted by: BooBoo - 04-03-13, 03:06 PM - Forum: Tech Q&A - Replies (18)

I check for power with a test light on the back of the gages and one terminal on each gage makes the test light flicker . I cant get it to keep a constant light , like I got a bad connection but no matter how I wiggle the connections it still just flashes intermittenly . The steering colum and dash panal are loose . Do they need to be tight to get a good ground ? Thanks . BooBoo . I,m wrong , I,m getting a flickering light on both terminals on both gages .

Yesterday I traded the set of headers that didn't work on my net for a posi pinion and gear's. It's a 3.23 the same thats in it, my question is how hard is it to rebuild, and do it correctly. This is about the only thing I have yet to tackle on a car, any help would be appreciated!

  Standard VS. Automatic

When I origianly got my 67 I wanted it to be a hot street machine , 60s style . I,ve never drivin this car yet , still in the restoration process . To me a muscle car really needs a 4 speed . I dont know what kind of auto it has in it , maybe a 727 . How well do these perform ? I dont want to go with a shift kit , If i use it I,ll just leave it stock with a cammed 383 . So do you guys like the auto enough to where tracking down and spending the money for 4 speed stuff aint worth it ? Thanks . BooBoo
