Quarter window rebuild
#11
Mike, the one you posted a pic of is correct. I forgot that the ones I bought for parts were the pivot style. I only needed the small rollers so it didn't matter. If you can find the plastic roller you could grind off the head of the shaft, drill & tap the end and install the new roller with a screw and washer?
If a man speaks while in his garage and his wife does not hear it, is he still wrong?

Ok gentlemen, please allow me to add some additional information that should be helpful for those looking for these particular parts.
I'll post the two factory diagrams first so that it's clear which parts we're talking about here.

This factory diagram shows all of the front door and quarter window related parts for the 1967 Plymouth Belvedere and 1967 Dodge Coronet Convertible models.

[Image: 1967FPB-Illus23-16-WeatherstripsampSeals...-Part1.jpg]

And the corresponding part number listing guide for the above factory diagram.

[Image: 1967FPB-Illus23-17-WeatherstripsampSeals...-Part2.jpg]

Ok, so the parts that Mike is asking about are listed under reference number 49 with part type code number 23-64-269 in the above factory diagrams. When you then go to the 1967 Factory Parts Book under section number 23-64-269 this is the information that you will find in Chrysler's original format rather than how I've posted it below.

1967 Factory Parts Book Section Number: 23-64-269
Part Description: Bracket With Roller And Guide, Quarter Window
Factory Part Number: 2486 058 aka 2486058
Number Used Per Car: Use As Required
Vehicle Applications For This Part Number: All 1967 Plymouth And Dodge A-Body Convertible Models (Barracuda, Barracuda Formula S, Dart GT)
Vehicle Applications For This Part Number: All 1967 Plymouth And Dodge B-Body Convertible Models (Belvedere II, Satellite, GTX, Coronet 440, Coronet 500, Coronet R/T)
Vehicle Applications For This Part Number: All 1967 Plymouth And Dodge C-Body Convertible Models (Fury III, Sport Fury, Polara, Polara 500)
Vehicle Applications For This Part Number: All 1967 Chrysler Convertible Models (Newport, 300)
Vehicle Applications For This Part Number: All 1967 Imperial Convertible Models
Vehicle Applications For This Part Number: All 1967 Dodge C-Body 2 Door Hardtop Models
Vehicle Applications For This Part Number:Most 1967 Plymouth C-Body 2 Door Hardtop Models
Vehicle Applications For This Part Number: All 1967 Chrysler 2 Door Hardtop Models

The reason that the above information is important, is because it shows that several other 1967 models used this same quarter window roller assembly that you're looking for Mike and some of those vehicles can still be found in local wrecking yards in your area or online.

I hope that this helps all of our DCR members that might need these particular parts.

Good idea with the drill and tap method....I was beating my head against the wall trying to come up with a way to fix and use what I had. Guess that is why I chose Law Enforcement instead of mechanical engineerBanging Gears, I sourced a couple of them on ebay that arrived yesterday. $25 bucks a piece, but they were in GREAT shape. The small rollers spun nice as well as the large ones. I didn't the price was too bad, considering some were marked at nearly $200 for a pair. Glass is all back in...just have a few more small things to do, then I can get the top mechanism back on so I can adjust the windows.....MOVIN RIGHT ALONG!

This is valuable information that came in handy when I was researching and I appreciate the post. I sourced the parts I needed on Ebay and came up with 2 nice roller mechanisms. This is what the ad said:

You are buying one good used quarter window roller, fits all 1969, 1970, 1971 Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge C-Body & Imperial 2dr hardtops, multiple available.

I took a chance based on the picture in the ad, not having a part number....they arrived and are the same. If the info above is correct, they must have used them things in several other vehicles.

Thanks again. Mike

I REALLY like the 1966-67 Charger front grille assemblies on 1966-67 Coronets Mike! Below is a 1966 Coronet that does this look almost to perfection!

I would have used one of the 1966 plastic two spoke, or a wood grain 3 spoke factory steering wheels rather than the custom aftermarket wheel used on this car and I would have used the original factory seats and upholstery, but the Charger dashboard assembly looks fantastic! Cool

Yup....I do like it. My plan was to use the charger dash as well, but I ended up selling off all the charger dash stuff I had a few years ago. The money they were bringing was too hard to pass up. COST AVERAGE DOWN Cool

Unless you're a 1966-67 Charger or 1966-67 Coronet owner, most don't realize that the dashboard assemblies are very different from the Charger to the Coronet. Many think that all that you have to do is an instrument cluster swap but nothing could be further from the truth!

I'm very much looking forward to seeing progress on your Coronet Mike!
