Hey all....
I am shining up my chrome trim for my side windows and noticed a type of insulation/felt doohicky that is between the body just under the drip rail and the trim.....
not sure what it's called, and probably wasn't clear....but that's what I need....
any ideas?
thanks,
Mark

Are you talking the trim that holds the gasket in place? That is something similar to double stick tape. Just some foam strip with adhesive on one side to seal between the two pieces of metal. Sometimes you'll find a little gunkoleum stuffed into the cracks as well. That's just to fill what the foam can't.

You have to take the whole piece down, but you can match something up similar at Home dopo. When you are done, I don't think anyone can see it, so color doesn't matter.

Mark - Is this the area you are referring to?
If so, it is just as described. very basic felt like insulation.
they do sell these kits. I purchased mine on ebay a long time ago. If I remembered where I would post the link.
If I had to do it again though, I would simply go to home depot and match it up with some window insulation.
