Hey Folks,
I just scored both rear quarter window regulators on ebay. They are sweaty and crusty and look 99% compleat. Looks like one or two rollers are missing. Yet they do work!
I am going to clean these puppys up and give them a spray paint and order new rollers.
( Mine are stripped out and frozen in place)
The hundred dollar question is?
How man hands do I need to install these.
Any do`s or dont`s?
I got pictures and manual images I scored from the internet.
I just dont want to jump in over my head.
Any advise would be awesome.

One person can do it. Trick is to take your time and do one side at a time. Remove as much of the weatherstrip around the window as you can especially the "u" shaped seal in the door jamb. This allows you the most wiggle room to put parts in and out. Typically you would roll the window down about half way, then remove all nuts and bolts from the regulator and guide/track if applicable. Push the regulator into the 1/4 panel and at this time you should be able to slide the regulator from the window assembly. Let the regulator fall down and remove the glass from the top and front. Then remove the regulator. Install is the opposite. Regulator into opening, add glass, connect the two together, and then start replacing bolts. Everything should go back in the exact same spot and you should be able to see where the bolts were tightened down. There might be a little adjustment needed so don't tighten until all bolts are back in place and you can roll the window back up. Some good thin leather gloves might help as the openings tend to be quite sharp. Doesn't hurt to have an extendable magnet in case you drop something either.
Key Word is patience! It's not nearly as hard as you think it'll be.

Good lighting is important too. You want to be able to see inside the panel to make sure you get everything.

I was pondering this again and it might be possible to remove the regulator without needing to remove the glass from the track. It would depend upon the size of the openings in the inner quarter. If large enough, you could probably roll the window partially down if possible, disconnect the regulator from the window and quarter, slide the glass back to the top and tape in place, then remove the regulator from an opening down below. I just don't recall how large the openings are in the quarter. Might be worth a shot.
