Gotta replace ignition switch. Ordered US50 switch, never replaced one but it came with no key or key hole. Do I just unscrew old key hole and screw in the new one and still use the old keys?? Thanks for any info,BTW I hate Beerelectrical issues!!!!

Todd, get the old switch out in your hand, you will find a little pin. Put the key in, press the pin in while turning the lock. It should come out.

I hope that works and I'm not mixing up the procedure with some other brand ignition lock! LOL

It practically takes 2 people do this, if you haven't done it before. The body of the ignition must be held securely -(a vise would also work if you don't have a second pair of hands). The key must be put in, turned to the right (same as if you were starting the car), and held in that position. the pin must then be pushed, and while being pushed, pullout on the key as if you were taking it out, but while it is still turned to the "start position". The lock mechanism will come out with the key still in it. The pin that must be pushed is small and located in a cutout "window" that is located near the front of the switch, in the threads that are for the locking ring that holds the switch in the dash. This "window" is only about an 1/8" square. The pin is about the diameter of a pencil lead. The pin is recessed in the window, so you need something small to depress it, you wont be able to push it down with your finger. To put a new one, put the key in it, slide the lock mechanism in the ignition switch as far as you can, turn the key to the right, and push it the rest of the way in. It will be locked in, held by the little pin in the window.
