727 leak
#41
what I do that works every time is put the closed end of the wrench on the bolt, put 2 fingers over the closed end/bolt head to hold the wrench in place and hit the open end with a 5lb hammer to turn it. the motor must be held from turning or this won't work. usually a long screw driver shoved up in the flexplate some where keeps it from turning.

So as usual anytime i work on anything i run into a million problems... I cant get the cross member out.. The exhaust pipes are in the way.. Easy way to weasle it out or one pipe has to be unhooked? Sad

Do you have a cross over? If so you will have to lower both sides. Otherwise could you lower the back enough? Do what ever seems easiest.

Looks like you have the chassis up high enough to wrestle that monster out of there.

The most fun part was sitting on top of the engine getting the top bolts... lol..

Then there are the dowel pins to back off from. Yah, I hear 'ya. Getting down and dirty in your engine bay to get those bolts out gives a whole new meaning to 'getting personal' with your ride! How are your knuckles fairing?
