Would the horn button be brown or colored to match the interior or steering column on a woodgrain steering wheel. We have the brown one installed that came with the used wheel but sometimes it looks strange?

Oh boy... somewhere on here there is a whole thread dedicated to this.. I "believe" it's brown, as that what I've usually seen.. I don't believe they started matching them to the interior to later years.
but then again, I just had 4 glasses ofo wine so I could be talking out my ass... lord knows something stinky coming that way in few hours

Where's Jeff?
Mines all black but definitely not a survivor just survived car so I restored it black again because I like it... but most all I see are brown like it was installed in the wrong car.

If I remember what I found in my parts book there were many colors available to use on the horn button. I belive it was up the the person on the assembly line as to which color button was used. First choice would be a color matching the interior, second Black (neutral color) or Tan/beige/lt brown (close match to the wood rim color) I have seen many examples of Coronets (and BEL/Satelites/Chargers) with interior color matched buttons in red, navy blue, green, black. My '66 Coronet has the Navy blue interior and was assembled with the Black horn button. I have switched it to the Beige version because I think it looks better with the wheel as opposed to black. Browse this Thread below - I have posted many pictures of examples with many different color combinations.
