It's an old Accel distributor marine use, part number 30301.

There it is !!

they did not make a Petronix for my Accel

The points set-up works fine just like they are, just make sure you use the correct ohm ballast.

Well if pertronix doesn't make a points eliminator for it... I wonder if accel makes one since it is their distributor.. Also where would I get a cap or rotor.. Or points if they don't make a kit. Guessing accel still makes those hopefully

Accel only makes a conversion kit for the stock single point distributor, and they no longer sell individual pieces (cap/rotor) like they used to. Best bet is to go to the part store and get one for a regular distributor. From the picture, it looks like one should fit.

I'll get one from work one of these days and see... The points I'm not sure about.. I saw a listing for them.. But kinda pricy at 50$ for the set of two and the condenser..and that forum you linked earlier said that someone had put a pertronix in theirs.. But pertronix said they don't make them.. Did someone modify or something?

*EDIT* I found this website.. It's still a 30000 series which is very similar.. Wonder if it would work

I think the forum link was someone asking a question along the same line as you about electronic ignition..

I just checked Pertronix catalog, and they don't list a kit for that model distributor from Accel. All the Mopar distributors (whether auto or marine), are Prestolite only.

Give them a call to be sure..

I sent them an email..and they said they dont make it for that..which is a bummer.. im torn on what to do.. lol..althought the more reading im doing the more im figuring out..apparently the 30000 series of distributors and most other accel distributors used GM externally adjustable points..so some sort of GM pertronix kit may work.

*EDIT* Upon more research it looks likes the points that look like they fit it are accel points for 1955-1974 GM v8 vehicles... hmm its getting interesting..im thinking the igniter III for GM v8s would work... hmm
