Nice car you have there. A 500 hp ´67 Coronet can do low 12s in the quarter-mile at just above 100 mph on regular tires (i.e. non soft compound). I am willing to bet on it.

Thank you all for your support - as you can tell, I haven't been on this site for some time.

I still have my '67 Coronet R/T and now I've added another Coronet to the fleet! I picked up a 1965 Coronet 440 - it's an Alabama car with a few modifications as you can see.
The last owner was said to own it for about 12 years and built it to run - the 440 is modified, it has a 3500 stall converter hooked to a 727 with a reverse manual valve body, shifted with a B&M Megashifter coupled to an 8-3/4" sure-grip rear end with 4.10 gears. It definitely gets up and moves.

It was advertised on ebay by a Ford dealership in North Carolina. I put the high bid in for about 4-5 weeks, but never met their reserve. I sent them an email, told them that I had been the highest bidder on ebay for over a month, was not going to pay what they were asking for it, could we get together on a price.... Ended up I bought it for $200 more than my highest bid, which was several thousand below what they had posted on their website.

I've got it in the shop doing some wiring work and fixing the door hinges and glass run channels. Bought a new set of Cragar G/T wheels and Cooper Cobra tires to replace the ones on it and dress it up a bit. Hopefully have it done the first part of next week as there is a cruise in coming up on the 15th and I'd like to show up to it driving this red beast.

I thought when I bought the '67 that it was going to be my last hot rod, but it turns out that it wasn't. Life is funny like that. Years ago, I had a '68 Coronet R/T with a built up 440 in it that was quite a runner - this '65 will run circles around that one!!! I haven't gotten on it really hard yet - getting used to shifting the automatic backwards, but the day is coming.... Big Grin
