Took 25lbs off Jrs 340 by swapping to this Mopar aluminum, pretty much a copy of stock so runs about the same as before maybe a little snappier bottom end but I did change timing a bit so that might have done it. Some reason the hole where heater hose nipple goes in was too small so I tapped it to match original, you can see before in pics.
I didn't paint anything yet because I plan on removing engine later to do properly.

That is very cool Andy! I have one of the 340 cast intake manifolds on Rick's 318 in his Dart and I really like it, but saving that much weight would be even better!

For some unknown reason, nobody seems to take me seriously............
I've never seen anything even remotely related to cars, let alone Mopars at yard sales in my area.
Maybe I should move...
Yes the guy use to work for Car Craft magazine testing cams and intakes, he had a pile mostly Ford and ported, but some nice Mopar stuff. Good ol craigslist garage sale ad

Finally had some spare time to strip blue off another panel, looks great other than a dent and a couple pin holes of rust in very lower behind wheel. I found a pair of really rusty tools inside trunk at that spot I think caused it. I will grind it down and see if I can just weld it up or cut that panel out which I am not good at.
