What did you do to your Coronet this Week ....???
Changed the oil on the race car. Installed the new turndowns on the collectors, installed new tires - ready for race this weekend.

I don't know if this is the best forum to discuss this, but here goes. I have a tip for spray painting items such as these. In my opinion plastic parts such as these should not be painted gloss black, it just looks too shiny. For instance I have seen cars where the radiator fan shroud was gloss black, and it just doesn't look right. The shroud should not be as shiny as the radiator. The same goes for interior dash pieces. Conversely flat black is too dull. I learned from a professional dash restorer that the color he uses is called "Landau Black". It is sold in cans by SEM. This color seems to have just the right tone between gloss and flat. The same company also sells a color called "Satin Black" that I have used in these cases also.
